Federal Project Support Unit Jobs: Vacancy for National Coordinator

Federal Project Support Unit (FPSU) Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) Federal Ministry of Finance

The Federal Government of Nigeria sought and obtained financial assistance from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank Group to support the implementation of Community and Social Development Project (CSDP). The project is aimed at reducing poverty through increasing access of the poor to human development services and strengthens capacity of Local Government. A Federal Project Support Unit has been established in Federal Ministry of Finance, Abuja to coordinate the implementation of the project nationwide.

Interested and qualified candidates are hereby invited to apply for the post of


QUALFICATIONS of National Coordinator:

1. University degrees in Natural Resources Management, Agricultural Economics, Resource Economics, Business Management or related discipline with at least 15 years of relevant post-qualification experience, Higher degrees and experience in the management of natural resources and/or rural development, World Bank/donor assisted projects will be an added advantage

2. Computer literacy and good knowledge of project management software is essential.

Functions and responsibilities of the National Coordinator:

1. nationwide & provision of implementation assistance the State Agencies.

2. Manage activities and personnel of the FPSU.

3. Coordinate and harmonize the activities of FPSU with those of line ministries and agencies and states participating in the project.

4. Develop annual budget and work plan.

5.Manage project funds and resources in line with World Bank’s guidelines and procedures.

6. Conduct periodic monitoring and evaluation of activities in implementing states and communities,

7. Ensure that the project is focused to achieve project development object

8. Prepare and deliver all required project reports and yearly audited accounts to relevant government agencies, the World Bank and as may be required

9. Serve as secretary of the Federal Project Steering Committee
