Our client is a market leader in its area of business, The Company has operations in over 18 countries across all continents with sales in over 18 countries across all continents.

The Company is currently implementing key strategic initiatives aimed at expanding its operations in Nigeria and is seeking to recruit a focused, energetic, result-oriented and suitably qualified professional to fill the position below in its factory located in Delta State.

JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Manager 
 
THE CANDIDATE: 
The successful candidate will:

1. Reporting to the Logistics Head and Factory Manager, 

2. the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the entire supply chain process from demand planning phase through product supply, warehousing, logistics and distribution. 

Specifically, the candidate will:
 
1. Define and implement best purchasing strategies for the Company’s operations.
Co-ordinate supply chain operations, planning, monitoring and reporting,
 
2. Manage the different aspects of the logistics operations including importation and clearance, transportation, warehousing of both raw material and finished goods,
 
3. Manage the product supply process including materials requirement planning (MRP) , commercial and shipping terms reconciliation with suppliers sourcing optimization, suppliers’ services level agreement,
 
4. Manage the third party logistics provider to ensure proper storage and distribution of finished goods across all distribution centres located nation-wide,
 
5. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure constant availability of the products, while avoiding over-stock situation both in-house and at customers end,
 
 6. Effectively manage warehouse activities and ensure availability of stock, as well forestall stock-out/stock obsolescence situations,
 
7. Plan the availability of raw materials in line with production trends and also liaise with user-departments, factories, warehouses to anticipate purchase needs,

REQUIREMENTS:
 
1. A good first degree or its equivalent from a reputable institution. An MBA or any higher degree will be an added advantage.
 
2. Minimum of seven (7) years relevant experience, preferably in a large multinational manufacturing company.
 
3. Demonstrable experience in general logistic management i.e. inbound and outbound logistics: transport outsourcing strategy; packaging; and warehousing and distribution,
 
4. Experience in import procurement and shipping management,
 
5. Good knowledge of material planning, Inventory management; budgeting; and ability to manage purchasing information and systems.
 
6. Ability to manage relationship with various stakeholders i.e. vendors, custom personnel and third party contractors.
 
7. Good understanding of Quality Assurance and Total Quality Management System.
 
8. Excellent leadership, negotiation, planning and organization and people management
skills.
 
9. High sense of responsibility, accountability and dependability.
 
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
