A Government Agency, as part of its efforts to consolidate on recent progress seeks to identify resourceful and focused individuals to fill the position below:

 
POST TITLE: Director Education

REPORTS TO: The Registrar
 

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
 
1. Develop & implement (in conjunction with other relevant departments) initiatives aimed at improving the relevance and value proposition of the Agency’s Professional Examination (PE), Mandatory Continuing, 

2. Development Programmes (MCPD) and any other programmes with a focus on professional development.
Manage the entire range of the Agency’s training & learning activities
Initiate and cultivate relationships/alliances with relevant bodies and organizations (within and outside the country),
 
3. Develop a comprehensive & marketable information pack for the Agency’s educational activities.

FUNCTIONS:
 
1. Manage departmental income & expenditure in order to ensure budgets and standards are adhered to
 
2. Prepare annual departmental and ensure timely procurement of all logistics required for successful operations.
 
3. Manage examinations income and expenditure in line with budgets and approved standards.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
 
1. A minimum of Masters Degree in Numerate Science or related field (background in education, an advanced degree in Management or other higher degrees will be an added advantage) with a minimum of 15 years work experience (previous experience in a similar position will be an advantage),
 
2. An analytical thinker with team-building skills,
 
3. Financial planning & management, business development & marketing skills,
 
4. Membership of relevant professional body,
 
5. Excellent verbal & written communication skills,
 
6. Good interpersonal relationship and ability to work under minimal supervision,
 
7. IT competence with use of the Internet as an information resource.
