POST TITLE: Clinical Nursing Officer- Family Planning

LOCATION:

SPECIFIC ROLES:

1. Perform Nursing duties with special emphasis on provision of family planning services, 
2. Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients, 
3. Perform physical examination and assessment, make independent nursing judgments and records findings, 
4. Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic, therapeutic and laboratory procedures and plans as needed, 
5. Promote literacy particularly prevention of malaria, STI/HIV and unplanned pregnancy, 
6. Provide  contraceptive services including oral and injectable contraception,  emergency contraception, intrauterine devices, implant and post abortion care, 
7. Interview and advice patients regarding maintenance, illness prevention, normal behavior, social and physical growth and development, 
8. Refer patients with conditions outside of the scope of the facility, and provide instructions to patients and family on medications and treatment, 
9. Provide supervision and direction to support staff and interns, 
10. Counsel clients to evaluate effectiveness of family planning services and types of contraceptives chosen, 
11. Work as an effective and responsible team member, 
12. Collaborate with other members of the team to determine client care and treatment, 
13. Attend required meetings and in-services, and participates in committees as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. A graduate from an accredited school of nursing or B.Sc/B.SN, Certificate in Family Planning/ master degree will be an advantage,

2. At least 15 years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a high level of commitment and flexibility,

3. Candidate must enjoy working with men, women and young people and be a team player.


POST TITLE:

1. Receiving of visitors 
2. Receiving of incoming mails and dispatching of outgoing mails 
3. Receiving of incoming calls as well as transferring such to the appropriate staff 
4. Maintaining register of staff movement 
5. Keeping records of daily attendance 
6. Issuing keys to office rooms and collecting them back at the end of the day. 
7. Ensuring that all doors are properly locked at the close of each day 
8. Dissemination of information on the notice board 
9. Tidying and maintaining the reception area and photocopying.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. An in with a minimum of 2 years working experience. 

2. Strong skills in spoken English Language, good interpersonal relationship and proficiency in the use of computer application packages,
