STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Nigeria Country Office

REPORTS TO: Deputy Country Director

LINE MANAGES: HR Officer

PURPOSE:

The will lead, direct and manage the day-to-day Human Resources activities for the Nigeria country office. The HR Manager will provide oversight and guidance to the development and monitoring of processes related to recruitment and retention, compliance, compensation, benefits, training and development. The HR Manager is a member of the Senior Management team and will provide strategic guidance on HR to the office.

1. Recruitment and Retention,
 
2. Compliance and Record Keeping,
 
3. Compensation and Benefits,
 
4. Payroll and Budget,
 
5. Training and Development and performance Maintenance,
 
6. Employee Relations,
 
7. Employee Communications,
 
8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
    REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATION:

    1. Candidate should have minimum of 7 years work experience in the field of human resources,

    2. Master’s degree in human resources of related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience,

    3. Must be familiar with country specific laws and regulations governing Human Resources,

    4. Ability to work with managers to assess complex issues pragmatically,

    5. Ability to define problems, establishes facts, analyze situations and make decisions,

    6. Ability to summarize complex data and effectively present information,

    7. Excellent written and verbal English and fluency in any of the 3 major languages in Nigeria will be an added advantage,

    8. Strong interpersonal communication skills,

    9. Ability to interact with and lead employees at various levels,

    10. Strong understanding of confidentiality as it relates to Human Resources,

    11. Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook,

    12. Must be a Nigerian citizen.
