Our client an Insurance Company presently implementing a bold Blue Ocean Strategy, seeks to recruit performance driven persons to drive the new vision in the positions below:
POST TITLE: Head Oil and Gas Insurance
JOB REF: HOG003
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Candidate must possess Bachelor of Science in Insurance. Actuarial Science or underwriting or any other good first degree not lower than second class,
2. An MBA from reputable institution would be and added advantage,
3. Associate/Fellow Membership of the chartered institute of insurance will be a strong advantage.
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the MD/CEO. The role of the Head, Oil and Gas Insurance is to ensure profitable operations and aggressive growth in the market share for the business unit. He/she
1. Shall be responsible for developing a strong oil and gas business unit,
2. Shall be responsible for crafting appropriate products for the sector,
3. Shall be responsible for establishing operational procedures and strong links locally and internationally within the sector,
4. Shall remain abreast of public events that affect the company’s market share of the sector business,
5. Shall ensure strong market penetration to achieve 30 40% market share within three years,
6. Shall be responsible for providing the CEO with all relevant information and recommendations needed to make informed policy decisions,
7. Shall be responsible for recruiting, directing and developing highly driven personnel for this choice sector.
THE CANDIDATES:
The candidate should not less than 35 years of age and must be in good health .the head, oil and gas will be coming at general management level (AGM, DGM or GM grade) and must have a minimum of 8 years of hands on experience in underwriting, marketing and proven performance in oil and gas insurance business.
