Our client is a group of companies with multi disciplinary interests and international outlook. As a result of rapid growth and expansion, there is need to URGENTLY fill the positions below:
POST TITLE: Managing Director/COO (in a Beverage/Water Processing and Packaging Company)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer
- Develop and Implement the strategic goals and objectives of the organization
- Give direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization’s philosophy, mission and its annual goals and objectives
- Develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures for the Company
- Work with the Board to achieve the corporate governance role of the Board
- Run the organization as an “undivided” establishment – holding in balance the sometimes competing and conflicting requirements of Stakeholders
- Ensure that the appropriate financial, human and other resource’s are allocated equitably and efficiently to the different units
- Manage the service delivery process in line with global best practice and the goals and objectives of the company
- Create a corporate culture through shared vision with the management team to foster a functional and loyal team that are fully committed to the objective of the Company
- Ensure that all the stakeholders are adequately rewarded for their contributions
- Promote passion, confidence and support of the government and relevant public towards the company
DEMONSTRABLE SKILLS & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Demonstrate varied experience in the Food the Food and Beverage industry.
- Ensure efficient and adequate running of the plant equipment and reduced down time.
- Coordinate predictive and preventive maintenance and ensure availability of electrical equipments
- Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures, No accident & Zero fatality.
- Ensure availability of reasonable spare parts with reduced cost.
- Ensuring all electrical equipment, cable trays and cabling meet specifications for the sites.
- Ensuring that towers are properly earthed.
- Ensuring correct connection of generators, UPS, rectifiers and air conditioners for sites.
- Ensuring appropriate installation and reinforcement of shelters for the BSS and transmission systems
- Ensuring the connection of sites to national power grid
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 15 years working experience of which at least five (5) years must be in senior management responsibility position.
- Cognate experience in the food and Beverage industry.
- An MBA will be an added advantage.
- Must be computer literate and conversant with AutoCAD
- Possession of relevant professional qualifications
- Strong competence and skilled with modern office technologies
- Strong knack for details
- Ability to communicate and relate well at all levels
- Proven leadership and structured corporate management skills
- Strong interpersonal relationship and capacity to relate with relevant public sector bodies to deliver required results
- Proven project management skills
- Mature and between the ages of 40 and 55 years
- Must possess good communication and Coordination skills with strong entrepreneurial drive.
POST TITLE: Group Financial Controller
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of Group Financial Controller
- To maintain and operate effective, efficient and standard accounting procedures ensure accurate maintenance of the company’s accounting books and timely rendition of financial statements and reports to meet management’s requirement.
- Ensures that the statutory accounting books are accurately kept and up to date
- Maintains effective and efficient payment procedures in transactions.
- Maintains proper and up to date records of the company’s
- Prepares end of year management accounts and reports for the management.
- Liaises with banks and other financial institutions to facilitate transactions.
- Prepares staff pay roll and ensures that PAYE: and other deductions are made and paid to the appropriate authority.
- Ensures that withholding tax, VAT and company income tax are paid to the appropriate authority.
- Reconciles Bank statements of as, reconciliation
- Prepares the end of year Accounts for audit purpose and liaise with the external auditors to ensure smooth conduct of audit process
- Provides financial advice to management as and when necessary
- Prepares essential documentation for the opening of letters of credit
- Prepares invoices for payment of clients
- Ensures that the financial/accounting policies and procedures are complied with
- Prepares and make available to management schedule of debtors and creditors as and when required.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
1. Applicant must possess B.Sc. in Accounting, Economics, Business Admin etc.
2. Should have 10 years post qualification working experience,
3. Professional Qualification – ACA or ACCA is a must.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants who are expatriates and Nigerians in diaspora with international work exposure/experience
- Applicants with experience and business background particularly banking and other financial institutions
- Applicants with sound moral background and unblemished academic and professional business conduct
