POSITION: DRILLING PLANNING ENGINEER
REFERENCE NO: WTGM0693
 
MULTIPLE POSITIONS:

JOB DESCRIPTION: Drilling Planning Engineer
 
The responsibilities of Drilling Engineer (Semi-sub) position include, but are not limited to the followings:

1.Drilling Engineer will perform well and completion planning in accordance with the Well Delivery Process.
2. Provide planning schedules for all drilling programs.
3. Track schedules and monitor implementation to schedule.
4. Provide initial well timelines for planning purposes, drilling time curves, and initial cost estimates. Review with drilling superintendent and drilling manager.
5. Provide proper technical and commercial input to tender documents for services and products.
6. Evaluate tenders both technically and commercially with appropriate recommendations.
7. Provide detailed Scope of Work for drilling services.
8. Carry out contracts management.
9. Acquire planning data from geology, reservoir engineering or geophysics as necessary.
10. Carry out offset well data analysis.
11. Design drilling/completion and work-over programs
12. Recommend means of avoiding drilling problems such as how to ensure well bore stability, tackling lost circulation and stuck pipe.
13. Work with various service vendors to ensure plans are achievable.
14. Review with engineer on DIMS the provision of End of Well reports.
15. Drilling Engineer will provide engineering support/advise to the rig on program implementation. 16. Check and sign job tickets (not invoices) from service contractors.

REQUIREMENTS:

The Drilling Planning Engineer should possess the following requirements:
 
1. BSC degree in Engineering (minimum)
2. Member, Society of Petroleum Engineers. Member IADC. Attended industry courses in well engineering, well operations management and project management.
3. Good technical knowledge of well planning and well operations. Initiative to proffer solutions to technical problems.
4. Sound knowledge of IADC/API guidelines for well operations.
5. Holder of IWCF well control certification and Offshore Survival certificate.
 
TERMS CONDITIONS Drilling Planning Engineer
Initially 12 months contract (Option to extend)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Night Drilling Supervisor

The responsibilities of Night Drilling Supervisor (Semi-sub) position include but are not limited to the followings:

1. The Drilling Supervisor is responsible for the execution of drilling, activities, maintaining maximum HSE and operational efficiency, at maximum value in terms of cost versus benefits on the day shift.
2. He/She is responsible for implementation of all the company’s policies, procedures and guidelines on drilling operations, safety and environmental protection.
3. Supervises the drilling contractor and service personnel to ensure all work performed conforms to safety, quality and highest value requirements and in accordance with the well program.
4. Drilling Supervisor will ensure that the drilling operation is conducted in the most cost effective manner.
5. Coordinates drilling activities with the Day Drilling Superisor.

REQUIREMENTS: 

The Night Drilling Supervisor should possess the followings:

1. Drilling Supervisor will have minimum 15 years experience within the Oil Gas industry of which 5 year in a similar role.
2. Excellent knowledge of well site supervision, IADC/API and holder of up to date IWCF well control certificate.
3. Must have worked on Semi-sub/deepwater drilling operations at the Operator side in Supervisor role.
Experience working in West Africa or preferably in Nigerian  waters.
 

TERMS CONDITIONS Night Drilling Supervisor

WORK SCHEDULE: 28:28 days.
Initial contract of 12 months.
