POST TITLE: Manager, Government Relations (Ref: M018)
This role projects and strengthens the Group’s relationships with various levels of government in the interest of long term corporate image and reputation of the company.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develops plans and strategies for managing the Group’s relationship with various levels of government with a view to project and ensuring positive corporate image and reputation
- Monitors national policy and political issues and their impact on the company and devise .strategies to handle such Issues,
- Manages Group’s reputation and visibility in government circles within the country.
- Develops and reviews government affairs department policies and procedures.
- Monitors social and economic policies and pronouncement with a view to anticipating the Impact on group operations and developing appropriate response strategies.
- Maintains formal and informal relations with the Federal, State, Local Government and various levels of government.
- Develops relationships with ambassadors and senior officials of foreign eembassies in Nigeria and Nigerian embassies abroad,
- Analyses political landscape and develops scenarios to assist the Group management in making decision,
- Facilitates government approvals, exemptions and licenses for group operations
- Assists in managing the Group’s corporate emergency response plan
- Plan and manage activities of the Government Affairs department.
- Monitors and reports on perceived reputation of Group in government circles across the country
- Initiates and implements strategies and programmes that ensure hitch free relationship with relevant government agencies across the country
- Ensures timely approvals of relevant Government exemptions and approvals.
- The ideal person for this role must demonstrate excellent relationship management, listening and persuasive skills and ability to engage and influence outcomes with very strong planning and organizing ability. The person must be self-motivated and create change in a positive way that projects the Group’s interests.
- Applicant must have first degree in the Social Sciences, Arts or Humanities
- 12-15 years post graduation experience out of which 5 years should have been spend in a senior position performing similar role preferably in Oil and Gas Company.
POST TITLE: Accountant (Ref: P019)
- The focus of this role is to promote sound financial management and accounting practices and ensure accurate analysis, documentation and reporting of financial transactions to enable effective decision-making and management of the divisional operations.
- Maintains the general ledger and the transaction management processes of the company
- Analyses business and financial performance
- Prepares periodic internal management reports and variance analysis
- Prepares the annual statutory financial reports
- Collates and analyses inputs into the preparation of annual budgets
- Monitors and reports on budget performance
- Review and reconciles operational expenditure against budget
- Reviews and determines the costs of the business processes and services
- Undertakes profitability analysis to gauge cost effectiveness of business operations
- Reconcilers revenue accounts
- Analyses and determines the product cost structures and margin contribution to profit
- Liaises with internal & external auditors

POST TITLE: Internal Auditor (Ref: P020)
This role makes a significant contribution to the continuous improvement of the Group’s business control policies and processes by monitoring, evaluating and promoting compliance behavior.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assists in planning and participates actively in carrying out routine audit of the Group’s business operations
- Conducts special investigations
- Analyses issues and raises audit queries*
- Prepares audit reports
- Monitors and reports on the implementation of audit recommendations
- Conducts routine and periodic checks on business unit activities
- Participates in the development and implementation of internal audit plans and programmes
- Participates in the review and upgrade of the Group’s business control policies and procedures
- Assesses compliance with laws, regulations and code of business practices.
- The person must demonstrate good knowledge of business drivers and risk/control factors in multi-business environment, strong analytical skills, ability to communicate effectively and competence in the use of computers do deliver work efficiently.
- Applicant must possess First degree in accounting, finance and economics or related discipline,

- Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a multi-national manufacturer.
POST TITLE: Customer Care Executive – Ref: P 021
- This position ensures that customers receive high quality services and issues are resolved in a timely and satisfactory in line with group’s customer care strategies.
- Implements customer service polices, procedures and standards for all business units of the Group.
- Keeps up to date with changes and improvements with the Group’s products and services, and informs customers accordingly. Monitors operations in all business units to ensure that customers receive excellent service
- Logs customers’ complaints, and acts to ensure prompt resolution
- Escalates major customer complaints such as security, theft, accident issues to the Head of department.
- Works with the Human Resource department to organize programmes to train staff on high level customer service delivery
- Maintains effective relationships with existing and potential customers in the most effective, efficient and professional manner
- Maintains relevant hard and electronic copies of customer files
- Provides weekly report on all activities to the Head-Customer Care.
- Good under time pressure and able to take and provide feedback in a pleasant and positive manner, the person for this job must have very good interpersonal, problem solving and customer service skills and sound grasps of the Group’s business philosophy, products and services, skills.

POST TITLE: Bank Relationship Executive
- This role is critical in ensuring that the Groups maximizes benefits from bank related services while minimizing cost banking transactions and funding of the Group’s operations:
- Organises placement of short term Naira and foreign currency deposits including the ; accounting for the transactions arising
- Prepares short term and long term cash flow forecast in Naira and dollars for purposes of fund placement and dollar sales
- Acts as the focal point to fund management of medium term cash surpluses in the Group’s holding accounts with respective banks
- Prepares and present reports on investment of balances to the Group’s executive leadership
- Acts as the focal point for sales of dollars to the local banks which includes the total process from invitations to bid through to award
- Handles foreign exchange dealings (e.g spot/forward sales of Euros, Dollars etc) using the Foreign Exchange bench tool
- Maintains a system of interest returns and similar markers for performance evaluations and reporting
- Supports the Head of Treasury in updating counter party evaluations (e.g local banks, suppliers for LCs etc)
- Handles the accounting/reconciliation of all bank related transactions in the business areas under scope of responsibility
- Reconciles all assigned (foreign and local bank) accounts weekly and prepares reconciliation report for GCFO
- Investigates and provides advice on all bank returned payments
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- The individual must have a keen sense of the business drivers with good finance, accounting and relationship management capacity. The person must have deep understanding of the banking industry and hands-on knowledge of treasury, foreign exchange and corporate finance principles/practices. Good at problem solving and attention to details, the person must also be result oriented and able to maintain on-going business relationships.

POST TITLE: Group Head Information Technology (Ref: M – 09)
The primary focus of this role is to support and drive operational efficiencies through full and effective implementation of the information management systems, maximum automation of business processes and ensuring availability/functionality of the is infrastructure in support of the Group’s business operations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develops and ensures effective implementation of strategic information technology plan of the Group in line with business and operational needs
- Develops and implements approved information technology and management systems policy, establishing the operating guidelines, procedures, and standards of performance to ensure the department meets or exceeds the Group’s information system needs and objectives
- Prepares annual operating plans and budgets for the IT function (managed directly) and the use of IT within the wider business (managed indirectly).
- Manages the delivery of seamless IT services to users across the group in line with business requirements and Service level Agreements (SLAs)
- Develops and maintains Service level Agreements (SLAs) with vendors and ensures monitors performance against agreed standards
- Develops (or procures) and coordinates the delivery IT solutions to the Group’s business in accordance with agreed, priorities, plans and standards
- Initiates and supervises the implementation of major IT Development projects
- Provides guidance and monitors the progressive development of user capabilities across the group through sound in-house IT training and hands-on support services to staff
- Monitors and controls the financial and operational performance of the directly managed IT function.
- The individual required for this role must have strong hands-on knowledge of IT operations and deployment of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems, good experience in LAN, WAN or Internet Network Administration (Load Balancing, Switching, Routers, Firewalls); strong business orientation, leadership and project management capacity with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- First degree in Computer/ System /Electrical / Electronics Engineering / Applied physics/ Computer Science or a related filed
- Relevant qualifications in Information Technology e.g. CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), Network + or MCP (Microsoft Certified professional) Certification in IT Service Management.
- A minimum of 10 years post qualification experience, with 5 years at a managerial position.
POST TITLE: Group Head Legal Advisory Services (Ref: M – 010)
- This role contributes significantly in protecting the Group’s interest in all business transactions with the public through the prevision of advice on legal matters and guidelines on compliance.
- Formulates and implements legal strategies to ensure minimal interruptions to Group or individual Company operations from third parties.
- Coordinates the drafting, vetting, and review of all legal documents and agreements relating to company operations (i.e. agency contracts, Charter Parties, Fleet Management Agreements, Shipping Services Agreements, Finance agreements)
- Participates in the formulation of corporate policies to ensure all legal requirements and relevant aspects of statutory compliance of the Group are met.
- Advises on and participates in all contractual arrangements and agreements between the Group and other entities.
- Advises group Executive Management on current legislation, regulatory issues, or legal risks that might impact the Group’s strategies and operations, both locally and overseas.
- Prepares legal guidelines on expansion projects to militate against possible, litigation, arbitration, staff and/or community unrest and other political situations as they affect the company.
- Works proactively to facilitate the resolution of conflicts in order to avoid litigation procedures
- Liaises with the Group’s Attorneys to defend the company in all litigation cases and ensure no subsisting injunctions against the company.
- Participate in all arbitration proceedings relating to the Group
- Keeps Management updated on regulatory issues or constraints that might impact the Group’s plans and strategies, both locally and overseas.
- Prepares the annual budget and annual goals/ strategies for the Legal department
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
A proven hands-on technical capacity in dealing with and advising on matters of corporate, business and commercial law encompassing contracts/ agreement, litigation, arbitration and legal risk management. The position requires a person with strong ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing), good knowledge of and very current with developing issues and trends, institutional policies and procedures, regulations and bylaws, and the legal environment within which they operate.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- First degree in Law (LLB, BL) while possession of master’s degree in Corporate Law will be of advantage,
- Membership of relevant Professional bodies such as Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Nigeria (ICSA), Nigerian Bar Association is required,
- A minimum of 15 years work experience as a Legal Practitioner/Adviser or Company Secretary with at least 8 years at a managerial position.
POST TITLE: Group Head Internal Audit (Ref: M – 07)
This challenging role makes a significant contribution to the survival and continuous improvement of the Group’s business processes and controls, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, promoting accountability and transparency in business operations
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develops and coordinates the implementation of approved internal audit strategies and work programmes across the Group’s operations
- Provides leadership of the Internal audit function ensuring that, the operating policy guidelines, procedures, and performance standards address the Groups operational needs
- Ensures that the operations of the Internal Audit Function promote Group-wide compliance with approved policies and internal business control procedures
- Maintains on-going Liaison with subsidiaries and other functional units to ensure successful implementation of audit plans
- Monitors the effectiveness of established business control policies, processes and procedures and reviews /updates as appropriate.
- Communicates identified weaknesses in controls to management and recommends workable solutions.
- Conducts ad hoc investigations and handles issues arising from audit exercises.
- Investigates violations of the organization’s operational procedures and makes recommendations on appropriate preventive or remedial action.
- Provides accurate and objective reports/updates to inform and guide management on the state of compliance with control procedures across the Group.
- Liaises with Finance Department and the organization’s external auditors for the successful coordination of annual audit.
- Assess degree and advises on the requirements for compliance with laws, regulations and code of business practices

The position requires deep knowledge of business drivers and risk/control factors in the oil and gas business value chain, sound grasps of business control policies and procedures. Strong analytical and excellent planning skills, leadership and ability to pay attention to details, drive, enthusiasm and capacity to extend the boundaries of the role are critical requirements for success. Proficiency in the use of relevant computer applications and ability to maintain proper records and prepare detailed I reports are also essential skills for this role.

POST TITLE: Group Head Human Resources (Ref: M – 08)
This role contributes significantly to the achievement of the Group’s mission critical business objectives by ensuring availability and productive utilization of human resources. The role focuses on implementing human capital policies and solutions that enable management effectiveness in attracting, developing, motivating and retaining the right calibre of staff for the Group’s business operations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develops upgrades and implements approved people management strategies, policies and programmes which align with and support the Group’s business strategy and key business objectives.
- Communicates Group wide human resources management strategies, policies, initiatives and plans to business and functional units to ensure understanding, buy-in and standards of application.
- Provides strong oversight leadership to enable effective delivery of HR strategy across the Group’s business
- Works collaboratively with heads of subsidiary companies/strategic business units and line management to determine key performance requirements, develop people within the business units, ensure delivery focused HR interventions that add value to business operations
- Directs and takes responsibility for all matters concerning employment legislation and contract issues to ensure that Group liabilities are managed and there is compliance with relevant laws
- Coordinates the design and implementation or career development programmes in line with the Group’s training and talent enhancement strategies
- Develops and provides guidance on the implementation of succession management framework to ensure availability of high calibre replacement for every key role across the Group’s operations.
- Directs and motivates staff of the HR function to ensure effectiveness in service delivery in line with approved service level agreements (SLAs)
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
The ideal person for this role must have deep technical and up-to-date knowledge of strategic human resource management imperatives, good knowledge of Group HR operational objective and accountabilities, leadership and mentoring capabilities. Success in this rote demands sound judgment, initiative and discretion at all times with strong interpersonal communication, project and change management skills. Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Human Resource Information Management Systems (HRIMS).
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- First degree in Human Resource Management or any Social Science discipline. Possession of higher degree gives advantage
- Relevant professional qualification in HR Management e.g. CIPM (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management), CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel Development), SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) is essential.

POST TITLE: Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) Ref: EX – 05
The role has primary- responsibility for providing financial management leadership and decision support advice to the Group’s business operations. The focus is to ensure cost effectiveness in business operations and value for money deployment and utilization of corporate resource while, minimizing risks to the achievement of bottom-line corporate objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provides strategic advice and guidance on the implementation of financial and operational plans focused on the achievement of corporate goals.
- Coordinates the development and implementation of financial strategies, plans and annual budgets for all Unite that would support the achievement of the corporate strategy,
- Manages key banking relationships to facilitate proper, timely and cost-effective funding of business operations
- Plans, prioritizes allocation and coordinates the disbursement of funds for business operations
- Develops and maintains effective liaison with relevant external bodies e.g. auditors, solicitors, banks and regulatory bodies.
- Manages the Group Finance Function, budgets and programmes and ensures prompt preparation of Consolidated Financial reports
- Supports the Heads of Business Units in the deployment and execution of Group financial management strategies, policies and systems ensuring uniformity in standards
- Recommends and coordinates the implementation of strategies for investing the Group’s surplus funds.
- Develops and implements strategies for accessing and securing funds at cost effective rates
- Manage foreign exchange risks and interest rate exposures and escalates issues to executive management.
- Presents monthly financial performance reports of the Group to the Vice-Chairman and executive management team.
- The job demands good business knowledge and the ability to diagnose and solve financial problems. The ideal person must have well developed skills in corporate finance, International financial reporting standards (IFRS), computer and financial applications (ERP platform). The person must also be competent in the use of computers to enhance work performance, self-motivated, diligent, and enthusiastic with a strong business orientation. The person must demonstrate strong analytical skills, leadership and the ability to communicate effectively.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- First Degree in Finance/ Accounting / Social Sciences with professional certificate (ACA, ACCA)
- Post graduate degree (including MBA) is essential,
- Minimum of 15 years post graduate work experience in the Finance/Treasury/Accounts function in a manufacturing/ trading industry; with at least 10 years in a Senior Management Position.
POST TITLE: Group Head Commercial Operations (Ref: EX – 06)
The focus of this role is to promote and deliver sound marketing and customer engagement strategies to achieve sustainable growth in sales, profits, customer base and market share for the Group’s business (product and services)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develops and coordinates the implementation of commercial and sales/marketing strategies to achieve competitive performance position in key markets
- Builds and maintains strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders to ensure cross-functional action planning and involvement in driving the Group’s commercial and sales management operations
- Provides leadership and direction of the Group’s commercial and sales/marketing operations and leads business development, opportunity assessment and investment initiatives
- Coordinates and maintains consolidated records of all commercial/sales transactions for the Group
- Liaises with the Product Procurement function to ensure timely and cost effective sourcing of petroleum products
- Liaises with Port Operations to ensure that timely receipt and availability of products to meet customer needs
- Initiates and champions discussions on product pricing and defines bases for price movements or fixing of discount rates for customers
- Generates Group-wide sales performance reports and drives performance improvement initiatives
- Ensures strict adherence to industry and the Group’s business code of ethics and practice standards by monitoring and reporting on compliance.
The right person for this role must have deep knowledge customer psychology and oil and Gas market/industry dynamics, strong relationship building and market engagement competence, excellent negotiations and interpersonal skills. The job also demands strong customer service and multi-task capacity, project management and the ability to analyze and take advantage of business opportunities.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- First degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Administration and MBA.
- Membership of relevant professional body in Sales, Marketing e.g. Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply
- Minimum of 12 years experience in the Sales, Marketing or Distribution unit of a similar organization with at least 5 years in a management role.
