This emerging corporate outlook has need of highly experienced, energetic and self- driven individuals to fill the positions below:

POST TITLE:   Business Development Manager-BDM – (Ref: BDM 001)

REPORTING TO:

Reporting to the GM, the BDM is to lead and develop company sales in Nigeria.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop strategy for turnkey projects based on company products.
  • Cogeneration in excess of 1 MWe for commercial and industrial projects
  • Prime Power for islanded sites such as mines etc
  • Develop customers and projects including securing orders for hand over to project department for implementation.
  • Assist with development of implementation and Support strategy, including identifying suitable sub­contractors etc
  • Manage multi border customer relationships
  • Maintain links with major clients and work with distributors to maximize prospects in each geographical area.
  • Prepare timely and professional sales presentation materials
  • Plan and prioritize resources and sales activity to
  • Identify market needs and liaise with marketing as to trade shows advertising etc
  • Identify market trends, opportunities and threats and work to maximize ESB prospects,
  • Oversee the bidding process and maintain a price database, pro forma bidding documents and other sales tools Responsible for the delivery on agreed AOP for the region.
  • Responsibility for quality as per Company quality policy.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Applicant must possess Bachelors/ Masters Degree  (B.Eng/M.sc) in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical)
  • An MBA will be added advantage,
  • At least 7 years work experience in key projects- preferably power generation
  • Strong Technical Knowledge in civil, mechanical, electrical engineering
  • Business development experience
  • Experience of working in Africa- preferably within the IPP business
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with good oral/written communication skills. Must be a good delegator and have excellent personnel management skills.
  • Disciplined, methodical and capable of producing quality work to meet demanding schedules as well as ability to adopt a proactive, systematic approach to problem solving and leadership.
  • Good time manager.

POST TITLE:   Senior Project Manager-SPM- (Ref: SPM 002)

REPORTING TO:
  • Reporting to the General Manager, the SPM is to ensure that major projects are delivered to contract on time, to budget and to customer requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Finalization and agreement of major project contracts ranging from $2M to $15M.
  • Delivery of major projects’ budgets.      
  • Delivery of major projects to:

  • Agreed programmes,
  • Agreed specifications,
  • Agreed safety standards,
  • Management of cross functional project teams.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Applicant must possess Degree in business/project management or other relevant disciplines.
  • At least 5 years work experience in key projects management assignments, preferably in the Power Generation or similar, industry.
  • Technical Knowledge in civil, mechanical, electrical engineering and ICT.
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with good oral/written communication skills. Must be a good delegator and have excellent personnel management skills.
  • Disciplined, methodical and capable of producing quality work to meet demanding schedules as well as ability to adopt a pro­active, systematic approach to problem solving and leadership,
  • Good time manager.

POST TITLE:    Applications Engineer-AE – (Ref: AE 003)

REPORTING TO:
  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager/ BDM, the AE provides Applications Engineering support for company Project BU, supporting tender process and integration of core genset product into projects engineering group for power plant systems in the range 1MWe-20MWe for applications such as cogeneration, prime power generation, landfill and base load generation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with BDM to provide support on application of generating sets for projects under development as well as work with factory to review new features requested or required on products.
  • Project Engineering to prop up integration of products into projects and rejoin technical queries regarding in service issues where required.
  • Support new customers and installers to ensure that product application and installation requirements are met, in addition to the creation and maintenance of application bulletins and other documentation to communicate product needs to customers and other stakeholders.
  • Visit project sites to assess applications and installations.
  • Provide support on technical queries arising from client services, as well as for the Projects Engineering in areas such as
  • Control Topology s
  • Heat & Mass balances
  • P&IDS
  • SLDs
  • Data Sheets
  • Drawings
  • Statements of requirements
  • Technical Risk Assessments-ATEX/ HAZOP/SAP etc
  • Maintain relationships with manufacturing engineering groups and provide ESB input to product improvement programmes.
  • Responsibility for quality as per Cummins quality policy.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Applicant should possess Degree /HND in Mechanical/Electrical engineering; Membership of a recognized engineering institution/body.
  • At least 5 years work experience, preferably in the Power Generation or similar industry, especially engine based, in areas of design and application. (Site installation, commissioning and operational experience would be an advantage)
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with good oral/written communication skills.
  • Technical and business skills to evaluate alternate alternative technologies and designs
  • Fully conversant with personal computers, Microsoft Office programmes and PLC software.
  • Disciplined, methodical and capable of producing quality work as per Company’s quality policy.
  • Ability to work alone and within a team, in addition to adopting a pro-active, systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Flexible approach to work.

POST TITLE:   Technical Support Engineer – (Ref: TSE 004)

REPORTING TO:
  • Reporting to the Projects Engineering Manager, provide support for the company’s interests in power generation projects. Supporting ESB product on a national basis, working with engineering, customers, contractors and service providers to commission and provide technical support, training for ESS Projects. The equipment range will include natural gas and compression ignition powered gen sets, Tri- generation plants and similar applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Be recognized as a technical resource in ESB projects, including BOP, leading commissioning services, operation support and information for projects,
  • Lead on site planning for operational support, training support, pre commissioning/commissioning projects and meet established customer deadlines as required,
  • Develop a working knowledge of project controls, electrical and mechanical equipment, gas boosters, and switch-gear, electrical systems both LV and HV supplied,
  • Liaise between the end-use customer distributors and ESB to provide field support for testing and start up programmes.

POST TITLE:   Commissioning Engineer – CE (Ref: CE 005)

REPORTING TO:
  • Reporting to the projects Engineering Manager, the CE is to ensure the commissioning and sustenance of project site(s) activities on a nationwide basis, as support the sales Division, the Manufacturing Division and liaison with customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead on site planning for pre-commissioning/commissioning from installation through to project handover moreover, meet established deadline,
  • Take the lead with a cross- functional departments toward ensuring that all components are identified and commissioned by the appropriate ESB engineer or sub contractor in a safe and timely manner,
  • Coordinate the efforts of employees, contractors and suppliers to identify installation issues in advance of commissioning,
  • Work with the Product Support Manager to schedule the department utilization calendar, assist the managing of travel logistics required for each of the different applications.
  • Manage and maintain on site commissioning documentation and project data, in addition to making certain that finalized commissioning and handover documentation are issued relevant quarter,
  • Take the lead with on site correspondence for the projects to be commissioned, to ensure that appropriate actions are taken,
  • Responsibility for quality as per Company’s quality policy.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of Degree/ HND in relevant  engineering discipline,
  • At least 5 years work exp. the Power Generation or similar will include gas and diesel application/installation work,
  • Strong interpersonal skills along oral/written communication skills,
  • Fully conversant with personal computers Microsoft Office programmes and PLC software.
  • Disciplined, methodical and capable of producing quality as per Company’s quality policy, including schedules in demanding locations,
  • Ability to adopt a pro-active, systematic approach to fault finding and problem solving.
  • Extensive travel and working alone.
