THE ORGANIZATION:

And Nigeria is one of five priority countries for the Alliance popular campaign in child survival. We are looking for experienced staff to support the implementation of the organization’s programme across the country.

POST TITLE:   Chief of Party

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
  • The candidate will strategically lead and manage the Infant and Child Nutrition programme in Northern Nigeria; be accountable for the achievement of programme deliverables and delivery of the joint log-frame within the consortium and with UNICEF,
  • He/She should possess a minimum of 4 years experience managing multi-regional or multi-country programmes with a demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding programme targets, while maintaining technical quality,
  • He/She should be self-motivated, numerically articulate, with experience in management of finance and budget monitoring and risk management,
  • It is desirable that the candidate should possess a post­graduate qualification in Nutrition/Hunger or related relevant discipline, professional experience in Nigeria, experience managing large consortium grants and ability to coach and mentor multi-sectoral partners.

POST TITLE:   Logistics Manager 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
  • The candidate will provide technical support to programme logistics offices on all aspects of logistics and operational programme delivery by minimizing the operational running costs through the effective utilization and allocation of resources and help programmes develop effective recharge mechanisms, improve accountability to donors and beneficiaries through implementation of regular reporting and strong control mechanisms, improve the quality and timeliness of projects, provide support, capacity building and oversight to logistics staff in field locations. 
  • He/She should possess at least 5 years experience in supply chain management in an emergency environment, procurement, transport and distribution, fleet management, warehouse and stock management, experience in distributions of food and non-food items, experience in developing and implementing logistics policies, systems and procedures, security management, amongst others. 
  • It is desired that the candidate possesses experience in West Africa with other NGO/Agencies; and experience in supporting nutrition, health and livelihood programmes.

POST TITLE:   Contracts Mobilization and Compliance Manager

  • The candidate will support the process of working on budget design for commercial proposals and develop the financial and operational aspects of the Nigeria Office,
  • He/She will ensure that projects function at a high level of quality while delivery value for money services,
  • The candidate will require liaison with contractors, project consortium organizations and other Save the Children Alliance members to ensure projects can operationally function,
  • The candidate will also be responsible for managing project contractor relationships and support the Country,
  • Director in the transition of successful proposals into implementation plans and functioning projects.
