THE CLIENT:

Our Client in the Telecoms Industry requires candidates to fill the positions  immediately.

POST TITLE:   Chief Operating Officer (Ref: TI/01)

THE ROLE:

The role is to develop an overall marketing and corporate strategy for the company and also implement them

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create the overall value proposition and ensure this value proposition is clear and well articulated to the market,
• Develop and set a balanced score card for the business and ensure that the appropriate targets are met across the various strategic perspective,
• Drive sales and marketing of the value proposition in the market,
• Continuously focus on innovation and enhancing capability to ensure that it competes favorably with other Service Providers, not just on price,
• Ensure that a documentation and controls are strictly adhered to in so far as the business unit is concerned and that each team is delivering optimally per the mandate.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• At least 5 years experience in a similar industry,
• Relevant Degree/Diploma,
• Substantial prior experience in managed services, telecommunications,
• An orientation toward marketing, with the ability to define new products and proactively drive them into the market is essential,
• Strong results orientation, with this ability to achieve the expected levels of business performance and create a platform for rapid future growth,
• Tertiary technical engineering and/or information systems qualification, and preferably a
• Postgraduate business qualification,
• Sound working knowledge of Telco/Hosting/Shared Services type solutions is  essential, as this role will pull together multiple ICT offering and require continual cooperation with multiple parties to create and deliver to client.

POST TITLE:   Project Manager  (Ref: TI/02)

THE ROLE:

The role is to monitor and drive the planning of diverse telecom projects/operations and ensure their successful implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• An understanding of the operations and the objectives of all telecom projects,
• Planning and articulation of technical requirements for each of the telecom projects identify and liaise with required technical vendors,
• Manage and maintain all vendor relationships,
• Plan and monitor project implementation and provide projected completion timeliness.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Applicant must have an engineering degree in any of the following: Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical or civil Engineering,
• At least 3-5 years project management experience,
• 3-5 years work experience in a telecom Industry, preferably in wholesale interconnect career services, network rollout, call network operations, transmission and BSS operation..
