POST TITLE: Palliative Care Officer
LOCATION: Abuja

OVERALL JOB FUNCTION:
Leads the development, implementation and evaluation of palliative care strategy in collaboration with palliative care teams from GoN and USG / PEPFAR respectively.
JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and overseas working group work plan and budget,
- Assist in the assessment, development, improvement and dissemination of sound HIV/AIDS palliative care policies and programs,
- Provide support to field programs on palliative care issues through state program teams
- Bring together expertise from USG agencies to provide appropriate technical assistance to the field in issues surrounding palliative care for PLWHA,
- Support the development of annual Country Operational Plans (COPS),
- Coordinate closely with technical work group leaders for OVC care activities implementation
- Support the development and implementation of home based care programs,
- Collaborate with all Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to assure strong linkages between program areas.
JOB MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- Advanced degree(s) in public health, nursing, medicine or other relevant training in international health,
- Minimum of five years experience in international public health programming and/or implementation,
- Specialized knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the area of HIV/AIDS palliative care, including provision of HIV/AIDS counseling.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates that is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of computer applications and Internet/ Emails,
- Require significant amounts of travel to program sites.
POST TITLE: Training Officer
LOCATION: Abuja

OVERALL JOB FUNCTIONS:
This position will provide direct technical assistance and programmatic support for
implementation of training activities on HIV/AIDS Care and treatment.
JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- S/he will travel approximately 40% of the time to the program’s target regions to monitor progress and provide technical assistance,
- Providing leadership and coordination in the development or updating of nationally approved clinical training curricula and programs, with a focus on training approaches,
- In collaboration with the Clinical Advisors organizing and conduct training and learning sessions,
- Collect and maintain training data for strategic information reporting and for M and E purposes,
- Identify any implementation issues and work with project staff and partners to solve these issues,
- Working closely with the program Implementation Team to ensure successful completion of training activities,
- Collaborating and consulting with the relevant units (Procurement and Stores especially) in maintaining stock of training materials, job aids and supplies at all times,
- Responsible for ensuring coordination of finance support functions for trainings meetings, training events, and other activities including arranging for training sites, transport, meals and overall training logistics.
JOB MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 5 years experience in HIV/AIDS training or related area,
- Five years experience in coordinating logistics and other administrative tasks,
- Familiarity with training approaches and knowledge of the health care delivery system preferred,
- Experience and knowledge working with public sector and government (federal/state) agencies and personnel,
- Excellent written and oral English skills,
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
