Partners for Development (PFD) Latest Jobs in Nigeria: Recruitment for Lead Consultant

THE ORGANIZATION:

Partners for Development (PFD) is an international non-profit organization with a mission to work with underserved populations to improve quality of life.

PFD Nigeria is seeking a Lead Consultant to conduct a comprehensive review of PFD’s ten-year integrated microfinance and FP/RH effort in Nigeria starting in January 2012.

POST TITLE:   Lead Consultant

REVIEW CONTENT: This will involve field-based data collection, analysis, interpretation and writing/reporting of findings highlighting lessons learned, best practices as well as making appropriate recommendations for future program efforts. The activity will take place in Benue, Bauchi, and Nasarawa States.
PURPOSE OF THE STUDY:
  • Provide a comprehensive picture of accomplishments as well as challenges experienced in the course of ten-years of implementation and highlight any changes that might have occurred as a result of FP/RH interventions,
  • Generate a better understanding of the successes and challenges encountered during implementation as a basis for stimulating learning from what has happened and make appropriate recommendations, particularly on strategies, approaches, innovations and allocation of resources,
  • The study will be for a period of not more than 18 days with extensive travels to the above mentioned locations. PFD will cover reasonable travel costs according to its policy, with a moderate daily rate for the duration of consultancy.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • The Lead Consultant must be a health professional with a postgraduate level training, at least ten years of experience in FP/RH programs in a developing country context, preferably prior Nigerian experience, and extensive background in program evaluation,
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Hausa is key,
  • Having microcredit experience would be a plus.
