THE ORGANIZATION:
Save the Children is a leading international organization helping children in need around the world. First established in the UK in 1919, separate national organizations have been set up in more than twenty-eight countries, sharing the aim of improving the lives of children through education, health care and economic opportunities, as well as emergency aid in cases of natural disasters, war and conflict. Today, twenty-eight national Save the Children organizations participate in the International Save the Children Alliance – a global network of nonprofit organizations working in over 120 countries around the world. POST TITLE: Newborn Health Program Advisor – Abuja (N5,000,000 gross)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Program advisor will work with Senior Newborn and Child Survival,
- Adviser to raise awareness on newborn health issues and Provide technical to stakeholders at National and State levels for scale up of new born health programmes,
- He / She will provide technical leadership in the area of newborn health while coordinating with other partners involved in newborn health activities such as PRRINN-MNCH and Jhpiego.
- Applicants should have minimum of a Bachelors degree in health with 7 years experience in related field or a Postgraduate qualification in Public Health with a minimum of 4 years experience in related filed is essential,
- Additionally, the ideal candidate must have work experience in health/public health and or in a health/public health organisation, including as a state level trainer/technical assistance provider in the area of RH/MCH with government of Nigeria or an International NGO.
POST TITLE: Grants Coordinator – Abuja (N3, 600, 000 gross)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The grants coordinator will ensure the maintenance and administration of the Bill and Melinda Gates Funded Grants (saving Newborn Lives & Advocacy Project) are robust, effective and complaint with SC grants systems and guidelines and meets the Donor requirements.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a Bachelors in Accounting (or equivalent certification),
- He/ she must have at least 3-4 years similar work experience within NGOs/INGOs managing grants,
- The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of donor rules.
POST TITLE: Grants Officers (N2, 080, 000 gross)

JOB LOCATION: Kano
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The grants officer will ensure the maintenance and administration of the DFID/PRINN funded grants are robust, effective and compliant with SC grants systems and guidelines and meet donor requirements,
- The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of donor rules.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (or equivalent certification) with a minimum of 2 years similar work experience within a busy working environment such as INGOs.
POST TITLE: Information Technology Assistant – Kano (N1,851, 605 gross)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The IT Assistant will provide IT technical support services to the to all field bases by providing computer training to users; trouble shooting, ensuring timely maintenance of all communication and IT equipment and provide IT based back up support.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- The ideal candidate will have Industrial working experience in a similar position;
- Proven knowledge of hardware maintenance and ability to solve simple hardware problems; and
- Solid experience in maintaining, troubleshooting and administering a Microsoft Windows-based (local area) network. Knowledge of Microsoft Winders operating systems, including XP, Windows 2003, and Window 7, and Microsoft Ofice applications (Word, Excel PowerPoint, etc.) and must have a degree in related fields.
