POST TITLE:   Business Incubation Center Manager
JOB LOCATION: Abuja

THE JOB : 
  • The Business Incubation Center seeks to stimulate economic growth and sustainable job creation through innovation, entrepreneurship, enterprise development and technology commercialization by providing physical and virtual growth support, mentoring, networking, training and, physical and technology infrastructure,
  • Technical Professional Services for the in are led by Coventry University Enterprises Limited, United Kingdom (UK) in collaboration with UK Business Incubation (UKBI).
JOB ROLE:
  • We seek to engage an insightful and entrepreneurial leader with experience in assisting to establish and grow small scale businesses in the Technology Sector to oversee the planning and administration of the Business Incubation Centre,
  • Delivering to the highest expectations and industry standards, 
  • The incubator Manager will lead the implementation and periodic updata of the Business Incubation Framework and supporting documentation, which are being prepared  for the incubation Centre with specific responsibilities including overseeing the financial management of the Centre’s projects and activities to ensure that they are within approved budgets and timeframe; internal and external stakeholder management;
  • Iintroducing, monitoring and evaluating the activities, targets and key performance indicators for the Center and preparing and presenting reports and other documentation as necessary.
THE CANDIDATE:
  • This is an important director-level role demanding direct and extensive experience of growing businesses through business incubation,
  • The role requires a self motivated person with entrepreneurial instincts, drive, cognate experience, networking skills, knowledge and understanding to deliver the Business Incubation Environment: 
  • Develop and engage the required networks and stakeholders to promote the Centre; 
  • Recruit, support and grow Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with potential; provide added value services, mentoring and direct support to incubates and all other functions-of the Centre in accordance with all contractual obligations.
  • Specific skills qualities and experiences that are required include in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the Technology Sector; 
  • Successful track record in growing businesses lobbying influencing, building trust and networking; 
  • Clear understanding of the potential and power of creating a Business Incubation Center and the socioeconomic benefits of doing so; and 
  • Strong project management capabilities including organizing, planning, teamwork, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

POST TITLE:   Procurement Advisor

JOB LOCATION: Abuja 

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 12 Month Contract (Renewable)

SALARY/ REMUNERATION OFFER: Attractive and Negotiable

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Procurement Advisor is required to establish a new Procurement Unit in the Corporate Office of the Master Developer of a Science and Technology Park (STP) initiative aimed at creating Africa’s preferred destination for technology firms in the areas of research, incubation, development, commercialization and outsourcing,
  • Effort has already been made to produce a Procurement Framework which is now to be operationalised by the abovementioned Procurement Unit,
  • In doing this, references were made to many materials including Extant Regulations and applicable international best practices,
  • Rollout of the Framework is to entail the competitive selection and enrolment of term-based Framework Partners and the establishment of protocols for many aspects including performance monitoring and evaluation.
JOB ROLE:
  • The Procurement Advisor is hence required to critique and improve upon the Framework and then lead the operationalization effort, while mobilizing and building the capacity of suitable members for the Unit.
THE CANDIDATE:
  • The Advisor is required to have had cognate experience, advanced practical knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures and, effective negotiation and communication skills.
