TBCARE 

TBCARE is a five years project (2010-2015) funded by USAID TBCARE is assisting the National TB and Leprosy Control Programme through various in country partner organizations KNCV has an office in Abuja and is recruiting staff for the positions within the TBCARE Project.

POST TITLE: Accounting Officer 

LOCATION: Abuja

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
1. The Accounting Officer will be responsible for the day to day financial and administrative management of the TBCARE Office, tracking the Project budgets and expenditures and he/she will ensure timely financial reporting to the Senior Financial and Admin Officer and Country Representative.
 
2. The accounting officer will be responsible for the implementation of personnel system in the country office and ensure compliance with USAID rules and regulations.
 
3. The accounting officer will monitor and analyze employee advance/retirement accounts as well as coordinate all logistics support of visitors. The accounting officer will oversee maintenance of office equipment as well as the general upkeep of the office.
 
4. The accounting officer will be responsible for workshop related payments and any duty as assigned by the Senior Financial and Admin Officer.


REQUIREMENTS:
 
1. University degree in a relevant field (accounting/finance /business management), 

2. Candidate should have more than 5 years of experience in accounting, demonstrable experience with accounting and Financial reporting in USG supported projects working independently,
 
3. Should have excellent written and verbal English language Skills, 

4. Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Office package and Exact.
 
 5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and working in a team.

 
POST TITLE: Driver

LOCATION: Abuja

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
The driver will be responsible for conveying project staff to their destinations within/outside Abuja maintenance of the office vehicle and updating vehicle particulars.
The driver will be responsible for maintaining the car logbook.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Candidate must have a completed Secondary Education and at least 5 years of experience within a similar position, good English communication skills (verbal, reading and written),
Should have excellent driving skills, an extensive knowledge on care maintenance, good knowledge of roads in Abuja, field experience outside Abuja and a valid driving license.

 
POST TITLE: Janitor/Office Assistant

LOCATION: Abuja

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
The Janitor will be responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the entire office and its equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
 
1. In possession of a school certificate, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are must,

 AED is a non-profit organization working globally to improve education, health, civil society, and economic development – the foundation of thriving societies. In collaboration with local and national partners, AED fosters sustainable results through practical, comprehensive approaches to social and economic challenges. AED implements more than 250 programs serving people in all 50 US states and more than 150 countries.


AED has been awarded the USAID-funded Malaria Action Program for States (MAPS) project designed to support the Nigeria National Malaria Strategic Plan and National Malaria Control Program (NMCP). The project will increase the quality, access, and uptake of specific malaria control interventions, including insecticide-treated nets (ITNS), artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs), expanded use of rapid diaqnostic tests (RDTs), and delivery of intermittent preventive treatment (IPTp) to pregnant woman.
