2011/2012 PUTME SCREENING EXERCISE, 1ST AND 2ND CHOICE ONLY CANDIDATES

The general public is hereby informed that the 2011/2012 Session Post- UTME Aptitude Test of the Federal University Otuoke (FUO), will take place as indicated below:

1.     ELIGIBILITY:

* Only Candidates who made Federal University Otuoke, as 1^st or 2^nd choice will be allowed to take the Post-UTME Aptitude Test

* Minimum UTME score to qualify for the Test is 180

2.    REGISTRATION:

Registration is online on our website at www.fuotuoke.edu.ng , starting from Wednesday August 31, 2011 through Tuesday September 13, 2011.

The Registration Process is as follows:

i.              Go to any Diamond Bank or Skye Bank branch in Nigeria along with your UTME Result Slip.

ii.              Purchase an e-pin slip for Federal University, Otuoke Post-UTME Aptitude Test for a fee of N1000 Naira (one thousand naira) only. This fee does not cover bank charges.

iii.              Go online and log onto www.fuotuoke.edu.ng  and click on “Apply for Post-UTME Aptitude Test” Complete the application for Post-UTME Aptitude Test online.

iv.              The Passport photograph: Applicants must ensure that the computer they are using for the online registration has a web camera. The passport photograph will then be captured by using the web-camera. You will not need to scan a photograph and upload for the registration.

v         Print out the generated Acknowledgement Letter and your Application Form. Your seat number for the Aptitude Test will be indicated on the form. You must bring these items (UTME Result Slip, Acknowledgment Letter and Application Form) along to the Aptitude Test venue. Candidates are advised to make photocopies of the Acknowledgement Letter and the Application Form. Candidates without the UTME Result Slip, Acknowledgement Letter and Application Form will not be allowed to do the Post-UTME Aptitude Test.

vi        Notification for Post-UTME Aptitude Test

You will receive a notification through SMS via cell phone and by e-mail indicating whether or not you are qualified to take the Aptitude Test. The dates for your Aptitude Test will also be available on our website www.fuotuoke.edu.ng 

NOTE: 

1.  Your application will not be successful if:

·   Your UTME score is less than 180

·   The appropriate e-pin was not used

·   If you enter a State of origin different from the one indicated on your JAMB Registration Form.

2. Always check your e-mail box for mails.

3.  IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION:

READ AND FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

i.            Passport Photographs: Scanned photographs will not be accepted by the online registration system. Ensure that the computer you are using has a web camera which will take your passport photograph automatically.

ii.            Use exactly the same name in exactly thesame order as you used in your UTME.

iii.      Submit a valid e-mail address and valid phone number in your Registration Form. ( Federal University, Otuoke will not be held responsible if you use invalid e-mail and telephone numbers)

8.  DATE, TIME AND VENUE OF APTITUDE TESTS ARE ALSO POSTED ONLINE ON OUR WEBSITE www.fuotuoke.edu.ng. THE SCREENING PROCESS INVOLVES BIOMETRIC TECHNIQUES SUCH AS FINGER PRINTING.

9. PUNCTUALITY & ACCOMMODATION: 

CANDIDATES ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO REPORT VERY EARLY EACH DAY FOR THE TESTS. CANDIDATES RESIDING OUTSIDE YENAGOA ARE ADVISED TO COME BEFORE THE DAY OF THE TEST. The University Of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) has released the results of the 2011/2012 post UTME screening examination.

 

The UNN Post UTME results has been released, candidates who took part in the UNN post utme screening exercise  

should to visit the University portal www.unnportal.com to check for their results.

 

On the University of Nigeria, Nsukka website you would see an option to check the unn post utme results.

 

After clicking the link you would be asked to check your post utme results with either of these options:

• Search with your JAMB Registration Number

• Search with parts or all of your NAME

All candidates who made the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun their first/second choice and have scored 180 and above in the June 2011 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board UTME are invited to the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) screening of the University scheduled to hold on Saturday, September 3, 2011.

Only candidates who have five (5) credits at one sitting are eligible to apply.  Candidates awaiting results whose full results will be released by August 31, 2011 may be considered for the 2011/2012 admissions exercise.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Candidates are to pay a non-refundable processing fee of two thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only into the University account (see details below):

• Upon payment of the Processing Fee of N2,000 at the designated banks, candidates are expected to do  their Registration Online. This should be done by logging-on to FUPRE website:  www.fupre.edu.ng or www.fupre.edu.ng/utme2011.  At the Quick Links, Click on Post UTME and fill the ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION FORM provided the candidate took Federal University of Petroleum Resources as his/her First/Second Choice and scored 180 and above. Registration closes on Friday, September 2, 2011.
• Candidates should ensure that the on-line forms are carefully filled, follow ALL necessary instructions as “Mistake(s)” may lead to disqualification.
•  Please ensure that you check your entries properly and print an online copy before clicking on SUBMIT as you may not be able to make any corrections thereafter.

The Ahmadu Bello University, ABU Zaria wishes to announce the details of its 2011/2012 UTME Pre Admission Screening Exercise for admission into all Courses/Programmes except Medicine (MBBS) and Nursing Sciences.

A.ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES:

- All candidates who choose Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria as their first choice university and have satisfied the following prerequisites are eligible to attend the screening exercise which is scheduled to take place on 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th September, 2011 at 8:00am each day: -

- Candidates who scored 180 and above in UTME for Science based courses;

- Candidates who scored 190 and above in UTME for Arts, Social Science, Law and Administration;

- All candidates who fall within the cut off point in (a) & (b) above must have the prescribed subject combinations in the UTME examination required by their proposed courses of study (information as contained in the JAMB brochure for UTME candidates).

- There will be no admission into MBBS/Nursing Sciences programmes. However affected candidates may sit for the examination in any of the following programmes: Agricultural Science, Veterinary Medicine, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

N.B: THOSE WHOSE UTME SUBJECT COMBINATIONS ARE NOT CORRECT NEED NOT COME AS THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED FOR THE

SCREENING EXERCISE.

Procedures for ABU 2011/2012 Post utme Online Registration

- (a) Type in your JAMB number on the login page and click on login

- (b) Enter your valid mobile number click and submit

- (c) To those who have earlier applied for MBBS or B.Sc. Nursing Science, select an alternative programme of your choice from the listed programmes.

- (d) Click on Submit button

- (e) Print the generated transaction ID

- (f) Proceed and make payment at any of the designated banks nationwide

- (g) Log back on to the portal again using your JAMB number and the generated transaction ID to complete registration as follows: -

- (i) Upload your true passport size photograph in JPEG format (not more than 100KB) and O/level results (where available).

- (ii) Choose awaiting result where applicable. Ensure that your photograph is uploaded.

- (iii) Click on the submit button.

- (iv) Print 2 copies of the registration slip and bring along during the screening exercise.

- Candidates are advised to report at their respective Faculties to verify their name and venues a day before their scheduled dates of screening.

What to bring for the screening: -

TAI Solarin University of Education 2011/ 2012 Post UTME Screening for 100 Level and Direct Entry (DE- 200level) Candidates.

This is to inform the general public that the POST-UTME screening of Tai Solarin University of Education for the 2011/2012 session will take place as indicated below:

1. THOSE WHO MAY APPLY

(i) All candidates who have chosen TASUED as their first most preferred institution in the 2011 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, and have scored a minimum of 180 in the April, 2011, JAMB examination.

(ii) ALL Direct Entry candidates who have chosen TASUED as their first most preferred institution for the 2011/2012 academic session and have applied through JAMB.

(iii) ALL Candidates seeking for a change of institution to TASUED through JAMB, having scored a minimum of 180 in the June, 2011, JAMB examination.

(iv) Direct Entry Candidates seeking for a change of institution to Tai Solarin University of Education who must have obtained 2011 Direct Entry JAMB Form.

The category of candidates in iii & iv above should report at the Admissions Office for further processing of their requests for change of institution.

2. PURCHASE OF REGISTRATION FORMS:

(i) Obtain a scratch card of TASUED Post-UTME Registration form for the sum of one thousand naira (#1,000) only from any of the following banks: TASUED Microfinance Bank, Ijagun Campus, FCMB plc, GT Bank plc, Zenith Bank plc, Intercontinental Bank plc , SKYE Bank plc and U.B.A.plc, all in Ijebu-Ode. In addition, processing fee and bank charges of four thousand two hundred Naira (#4,200) only should be paid to the aforementioned banks.

(ii) The scratch card shall have two numbers: PIN and Serial Number

(iii) The sale of scratch cards from designated banks and on-line registration commences on Wednesday, 3rd August, 2011 and closes on Wednesday, 24th August, 2011.

(iv) On-line registration on the University website will close by Friday, 26th August, 2011

3. METHOD OF APPLICATION (LOG IN PROCEDURE):

Post-UTME registration forms with brochure can be obtained ON LINE through the following step by step procedure:

Go to a cyber cafe or anywhere you can have an internet access. Visit the TASUED website by typing www.tasu.edu.ng onthe webpage. Click Post-UTME Registration Form. Candidates are STRONGLY advised to Click the University Degree Brochure and CAREFULLY study the OLevel requirements for the courses they have applied, BEFORE registration on the TASUED website www.tasu.edu.ng

(1) Use your Pin and Serial Number (as contained on the scratch card obtained at the banks) to access your TASUED On-line Registration Form.

(2) Complete the Registration Form by providing the required information;

(3) Submit your Form by clicking submit button.

(4) Print out a receipt containing your passport photograph in colour. The printed receipt will serve as candidates identification/admission card for the screening test.

(5) Check your centre seat numbers online one week before the examination date.

NOTE: IJMB not acceptable

False information provided by any candidate shall be detected by the special TASUED software application and such candidates shall be disqualified.

4 SCREENING DATES:

Screening shall be conducted on Saturday,27th August, 2011 for all UTME (100 Level) candidates at the University Main Campus, Ijagun by 8.00a.m.

The date of the screening for Direct Entry (200 Level) applicants shall be Tuesday,13th September, 2011 at the University Main Campus, Ijagun by 9.00a.m.

These Screening exercises are mandatory requirements for entry into Tai Solarin University of Education.

Any registered candidate who fails to report for the screening exercise on the date specified on the print-out automatically loses his or her chance of being considered for admission. The screening exercise shall be computer based. Candidates are advised to arrive at the convocation arena at the Main Campus, Gidan Kwano on the scheduled date for the screening exercise at least one hour prior to the scheduled time. Biometric data of the candidates shall be captured before the commencement of the screening exercise.

iii.      Candidates whose UTME score is below the minimum for their chosen course are eligible to register for any other course provided they attain the minimum score for that course.

However, all candidates must have the prescribed subject combinations in the UTME required for admission into the proposed course/programme as prescribed in the JAMB brochure.

Direct Entry candidates must possess an Ordinary National Diploma or Higher National Diploma with Lower Credit (minimum) or National Certificate of Education with Merit (minimum) from Federal Government approved Polytechnics/Monotechnics/Colleges of Education. Candidates with GCE ‘A/Level’ or IJMB ‘A/Level’ must possess minimum of two subjects at credit passes or five points respectively.

vi. All candidates must possess a minimum of five O/Level credits including Mathematics and English language in WASCE/ NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings in subjects relevant to their proposed courses and obtained not earlier than 2007. 2. METHOD OF REGISTRATION:

i. All candidates must either possess a valid e-mail address or create one for the purpose of the online registration for the screening exercise.

ii. Candidates should go to any of the following designated Banks (First Bank Plc., UBA Plc., Union Bank Plc., Oceanic Bank Plc., Bank PHB Plc., Intercontinental Bank Plc., Guarantee Trust Bank Plc., Zenith Bank Plc.) and pay to “FUTMINNA POST – UTME ACCOUNT” through e-Tranzact platform at the cost of ?1,000.00 (excluding bank charges) only.

iii. The Bank will issue a receipt containing a receipt number and Confirmation order number which will be used by the candidate for the on-line registration.

iv. Candidates are directed to visit the homepage of the University website: www.futminna.edu.ng for details on the procedure for on-line registration, requirements for the screening exercise and other general information.

Note: Candidates are strongly advised to commence registration immediately as the University website will be closed for registration at midnight of Saturday 13^th August, 2011.

3. PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION:

To enable a successful completion of the registration process:

1                    A UTME candidate must have selected FUT, Minna as his/her 1^st or 2^nd choice most preferred University, have attained the minimum UTME score for his/her selected course/programme as indicated above in the table under the heading Eligibility and have obtained a payment receipt with a Confirmation order number from any of the designated Banks listed above.

2.  A Direct Entry candidate must have selected FUT, Minna as his/her 1^st or 2^nd choice most preferred University and have obtained a payment receipt with a Confirmation order number from any of the designated Banks listed above

4. ONLINE REGISTRATION STEPS:

1.   Return to the Homepage to begin the registration process.

2.   On the left hand corner of the homepage appears a banner with the caption:

ii. A display Welcome message with candidate’s names appears on the screen indicating course/programme of choice and subject combination for the screening.

iii. Below the welcome message are boxes for the candidate to enter e-mail address and gsm number. Thereafter “Click on continue to enter payment detail”

iv. A page showing: On-line Payment procedure appears, and beneath this are boxes for the candidate to enter his/her Receipt No. and Confirmation order No.

v. Thereafter click on “Submit to confirm payment”.

vi. If the Payment is successfully, a statement appears showing: Payment detail successfully completed

vii. Click on “Proceed for printing”

A Print Page appears showing the following details: Candidate’s biodata, Academic data and Screening schedule data.

If for example a candidate attempt to register for Electrical/Computer Engineering with lower than required UTME score e.g. 208, a display Welcome message with candidate’s names appears on the screen with the following statement:

“Your Jamb score of 208 does not qualify you for your proposed (ELE) course of study. However, you may wish to select any other course/programme from the dropdown provided you have the ‘O’level requirements for the course”.

Beneath the above statement are boxes for the candidate to select a course/programme, enter e-mail address and gsm No.

5. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE:

All eligible candidates are required to come on the scheduled date to the Convocation Arena at the University Main Campus at Gidan-kwano along Minna-Bida road with the following:

i. A clean copy of 2011/2012 – UTME result (UTME candidates only)

ii. Evidence of JAMB registration (IJMB candidates only).

iii. The printed 2011 Post-UTME scheduling slip affixed with a recent coloured passport photograph.

• A writing material (biro or pencil).
• A simple calculator (non-programmable) without cover.

6. GENERAL INFORMATION:

i.          No candidate will be allowed to participate in the screening exercise without complying with the above requirements.

ii.         The Main Campus at Gidan Kwano along Minna-Bida road is about 20 kms away from the Bosso Campus of the University which is inside Minna town. Candidates without personal vehicles may board commercial buses at the rate of N50 at the Bus Park inside the Bosso Campus of the University.

iii.        Candidates are not allowed to bring GSM handsets or similar electronic gadgets into the screening hall. Such item(s) will be seized and will not be returned to the owners.

iv.        Impersonation is a serious offence and anyone caught impersonating will be handed over to the law enforcement agents.
