Auchi Polytechnic, a first generation and well established Federal Polytechnic, with the functions of providing technology , training and development of techniques, has vacancy for the  position below.
Candidates for the position must demonstrate evidence of strong administrative leadership, initiative and creativity in policy formulation, good human relations and positive  managerial attributes.

POST TITLE: Registrar

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Candidates must possess a good honours degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university,

2. At least 17 years post-qualification experience,

3. Relevant administrative experience not below the rank of Deputy,

4. Registrar or  cognate senior management position,

5. Must be ICT compliant,

6. Command respect of the immediate and extended communities,

7. Possession of higher qualifications will be added advantage,

8. Full membership of relevant professional body.

DUTIES:

The Registrar shall perform the following duties

1. Be in charge of the  Registry Department

2. Responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day administration of the Polytechnic

3. Functions as  Secretary to the Academic Board

4. Functions  as  Secretary to the Governing  Council

5. Functions as Secretary to other Statutory Committees

7. Responsible for keeping of all records in the  Polytechnic

8. Issuing Certificates of Service

9. Any other duties as may be assigned by the  Rector or the  Governing  Council

Terms  of  Appointment and Other  Conditions  of  Service

1. Salary Contediss 15 (N4,047, 462.00 – N5,305,720.00),

2. Other fringe benefits attached to the  office of the  Registrar as  obtainable in the  conditions of  service for  Federal Polytechnics,

3 .The tenure of  Office of the  Registrar shall be for a period of  five (5) years effectively from date of  appointment and may be  renewed for a further term of the  (5) years except otherwise decided,

4. Persons who will be more than 55 years  of age by February, 2011 need not apply.

  • Extra Curriculum activities
  • Names and address of threes referees (two of whom must be professional or authorities in relevant fields).
Applicants are to request referees to forward their referees report under confidential cover by courier Service directly to the Registrar.
