Globacom Limited Jobs: Vacancies for Application and Content Services Manager, Business Planning and Analysis Manager, Head, Sales


Globacom Limited is Nigeria’s second National Operator providing GSM, Fixed Broadband and Gateway services with subsidiaries in Nigeria, Republic of Benin, Ghana and other West African countries. We have just launched the commercial services of Glo 1 submarine cable. It’s the only direct undersea cable from London to Lagos, and 13 other African countries, with a dedicated link to America. All connecting seamlessly into Glo’s 10,000 kilometres of fibre-optic  backbone throughout Nigeria. In fact, Glo 1 has created the only completely end to end communications network in the region.

With Points of Presence (POP) in the UK, Hong Kong, USA and Virtual POPs in France and Germany, Glo Gateway services manage roaming  connections, voice and data traffic both in the local and international markets.

The company needs capable professionals who can fill various positions in Glo 1. The positions attract internationally competitive remuneration.



REFERENCE NO: ACSM

EDUCATIONS:

1. Relevant university degree are required, 

2. A degree in , or related discipline is preferred, 

3. Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 7-10 years experience in a leading /ISP company with at least 5 years in content development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Identify high bandwidth consuming applications for development in the Nigerian and other West African markets. 

2. Design, develop and rollout application & content product architecture, service delivery model and IT billing support.


REFERENCE NO: BPAM

EDUCATIONS:

1. Relevant university degree are required, 

2. A degree in , or related discipline is preferred, 

3. Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 7-11 years experience in a leading /ISP company with at least 4 years in
RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Develop and monitor plan for new projects, evaluate new venture and cases and financial viabilities,

2. Develop and monitor Glo 1 annual operating plans for all operating  markets, 

3. Design Key Performance Areas (KPA), 

4. Undertake market intelligence and research for achieving objectives in all operating markets, 

5. Prepare management reports and financial MIS for GLO 1.


POST TITLE: Head, Sales

REFERENCE NO: STDM

EDUCATIONS:

1. Relevant university degree are required 
2. A degree in , or related discipline is preferred. 
3. Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

1. 15-20 years experience in handling international data . Selling to global carriers and managing enterprise businesses. 

2. Good experience in selling high end data solutions like IPLC, IP Transient, Global MPLS, Data centers and Video/audio conferencing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Drive the global, wholesale and enterprise sales to achieve the objectives, 

. Manage the customer relationship with various global carries, enterprises and domestics wholesales customers, 

3. Facilitate the signing of interconnect agreements with global carriers, 

4. End to end development including lead generation, order processing and order closure sales planning, sales budgeting, reward & recognition programs and performance management for the sales team, 

5. Set KPI and objectives for every member in the sales organization and monitor the performance on a timely basis.
