THE ORGANIZATION:

We are a Leading and Reputable Non-Governmental Organization implementing a comprehensive family-focused HIV/ AIDS prevention, care and treatment program in partnership with different tiers of the Government of Nigeria- national, state, local and site levels. In line with the broadened scope and objectives of our work, the need for increased staff capacity around new and enlarged areas of focus have emerged. We therefore require the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic professionals to fill the positions below:

POST TITLE:   Pharmacy Services Officer (2 positions)

LOCATION: Ogoja-Cross River State

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Pharmacy Services Officer will plan and support the delivery of high quality pharmaceutical care services
  • Implement an efficient health commodity logistics system for the organization in accordance with donor requirements and stipulated guidelines of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
  • S/he will assist in managing the pharmaceutical care aspects of the HIV care and treatment program
  • Assist to develop work plans and activities in concordant with the Government of Nigeria’s stipulated guidelines/standards at all healthcare facilities supported by the organization? Tracking, monitoring and inventory analysis of all pharmacy stock employing the use of monitoring toots, spread sheets and data bases.
  • Assist in periodic training of pharmacy, medical, nursing and counseling staff at sites supported by the HIV care and treatment program
  • Prepare and submit periodic progress reports from the sites supported to implement the HIV care and treatment program.
  • The implementation of quality assurance/ management activities at sites being supported to implement the HIV care and treatment program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria
  • A minimum five years experience working as a hospital based pharmacist
  • Must have an above average knowledge of and experience with HIV care and treatment medication.
  • Must have previous experience working in a multidisciplinary team in a clinical setting.

POST TITLE:   Clinical Services Officer (Palliative Care)

LOCATION: Abuja

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leads the development, implementation and evaluation of palliative care strategy in collaboration with palliative care experts from Government of Nigeria and the donor community
  • Develops and oversees working group work plan and budget
  • Assist in the assessment, development, improvement and dissemination of sound HIV/AIDS palliative care policies and programs
  • Provide support to field programs on palliative care issues through core teams
  • Bring together expertise from donor community especially USG agencies to provide appropriate technical assistance to the field in issues surrounding palliative care for PLWHA as well as supporting development of annual Country Operational Plans (COPS) ‘Coordinates closely with technical work group leads for OVC care, all Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to assure strong linkages between program areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Advanced degree(s) in public health, nursing, medicine or other relevant training in international health
  • Minimum of five years experience in international public health programming and/or implementation
  • Specialized knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the area of   HIV/AIDS palliative care, including provision of HIV/AIDS clinic/home/community care;  psychosocial and spiritual support.
  • Strong computer skills including data base manipulation. related activities and community mobilization

The organization offers highly competitive salary packages for all positions in the organization, However, employment contracts for each of these positions will be tied to the duration of the grant supporting the position and will also be subject to a probationary period. Local terms and conditions are applicable.
