An Information Technology (IT) Company Jobs in Nigeria: Recruitment for General Manager

THE CLIENT:

Our client, a versatile Information Technology (IT) Company that provides IT training and support services of international standards, from a world class facility in Port Harcourt, seeks to recruit suitable qualified candidates to fill the position below:

POST TITLE:   General Manager

LOCATION: Port Harcourt

REFERENCE No: GM 001

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
  • B.Sc./HHD in any computer related courses or any relevant discipline and an MBA from a reputable university is required. Professional qualification in marketing shall be a strong advantage,
  • Must have a minimum of one current and relevant IT certification,
  • Must have proven minimum of 3-5 years general management and marketing experience in an IT and soft skill training business.
SUMMARY:
  • Reporting to the Managing Director; the incumbent is required to effectively and efficiently manage all the business units, ensure smooth operation and bring to bear wealth of administrative and marketing experience to the overall running of the company, 
  • He or she shall be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the company,
  • He or she is to drive with entrepreneurial zeal, the development and implementation of strategies needed to ensure effective penetration into to the Niger Delta IT and soft skills training market,
  • He or she shall be responsible for developing and implementing marketing system that ensures consistent cash flow from the IT and soft skills training arm of the business. 
  • He or she is to leverage on the strength and core competency of the company to develop new business and increase company wide profitability. 
  • The target is to establish 40 profitable corporate/government retainer-ships over the next 18 months. He or she shall lead in the development and implementation of proper performance management  and measurement systems to ensure continuous attainment of the financial targets of the company. 
  • He or she shall be responsible for providing the board of directors with finance options and advice to ensure that the company has adequate financial resources to meet its mandate.
THE CANDIDATES:
  • The candidate should be mature and not more than 45 years of age, medically fit with lots of star stamina,
  • Should have high level contacts with key decision makers in corporate organization and government bodies in the Niger Delta area, 
  • The right candidate should have outstanding leadership skills, high visionary and strategic thinking/planning ability, strong team building ability, entrepreneurial skills and ability, with well developed marketing, sales and negotiation skills, team selection and team management ability,
  • The right candidate must have very strong organizational skills, must be humble but tough with positive disposition towards life,
  • The right candidate will be computer literate with managerial and organizational skills along with good interpersonal and relationship management skills and persuasive power to motivate people,
  • The right candidate will be articulate with excellent communication skills, be self confident and a go-getter.
