In line with our core value of sustainable development of host communities and as part of our corporate social responsibility, Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (TEPNG) is committed to contributing to human capacity development through the implementation of various categories of Education Assistance Award to support the educational development of our host communities. This effort is to boost the manpower base of the communities and prepare youths to take up challenging job opportunities within and outside the oil and gas industry.

The company hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for its 2011/2012 community Education Assistance Awards for post secondary students from our OML 58 host communities, Andoni, Mgbuesilaru, Rebisi, Rumuogba Rivers State and Akwa Ibom State in tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

WHO IS QUALIFIED TO APPLY?

The NNPC/TEPNG Community Education Assistance Award is open to all duly admitted and full time Nigerian students (year 1 2) from Rivers and Akwa-Ibom States (as above) in tertiary institutions in Nigeria and who are NOT beneficiaries of any other scholarships. In addition to the above conditions, stated in the application form, candidates must show:

• Proof of SSCE or equivalent certificate,
• Proof of UME scores and admission to the course of study.

Application will close three weeks from the date of this publication. Selection tests will hold on 12th November, 2011 in Port Harcourt and Uyo. Please note that only short listed candidates would be contacted for the tests.

GANI FAWEHINMI 2010 ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDS 2011

ONE (1) MILLION NAIRA SCHOLARSHIPS

FOR TEN (10) STUDENTS

INTRODUCTION:

Applications are invited for Chief Gani Fawehinmi Annual Scholarship Awards 2011.

The award is for 10 (Ten) Students, each of whom will receive One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) making a total sum of One Million Naira (N1,000,000)

CRITERIA FOR AWARD:

(1)  Applicants must be poor and indigent,

(2)  Applicants must be registered students of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria. i.e   Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education,

(3)  Applicants must have good academic performance.

MODE OF APPLICATION:

(A) Each applicant must submit application letter, not more two (2) pages. The letter must include the name of the candidate, Course and year of study, state of Origin and why the candidate believe that he or she should be given the award.

(B) The application letter must be accompanied by:

(i)   A photocopy of the candidate’s current identity card.

(ii)  A letter from the candidate’s Head of Department, including correct information on the candidate’s CGPA for the last academic semester

(iii) A letter from registrar certifying that the candidate is a student of such institution

(iv) A copy of the candidate’s registration form for the current semester and

(v) two (2) current passport photographs.

The application letter, with all supporting documents, should be forwarded (by hand or postal delivery) to:

INTERVIEW AND AWARD CEREMONY:

(i) Kano: All applicants within the Northern States will be interviewed on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at ASUU Office, Bayero University, Kano at 10.00am

(ii) Lagos: All Applicants within the Southern States will be interviewed on Wednesday, September 13, 2011 at Nigerian Law Publications House, Jobi Fele Way, C.B.D. Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos at 10.00am

Award Ceremony: Successful candidates will be awarded the scholarships on Friday September 15, 2011 at Nigerian Law Publications House, Jobi Fele Way, C.B.D. Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos at 12.00 Noon
