Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited (NAE) Post Graduate Scholarship Award Scheme 2011/2012 

Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited (NAE) on behalf of the NNPC/NAE/OANDO PSC, is committed to the training and development of manpower as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme.
In pursuance of this, NAE invites applications from suitably qualified and interested Nigerian graduates for the 2011/2012 Post Graduate Scholarship Award Scheme. The award is in two categories – Nigerian and Overseas.

ELIGIBILITY:

To qualify, applicants must:
  • Possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division Bachelors degree from a recognized Nigerian university,
  • Must have secured admission into a Nigerian or Overseas University (based on category being applied for) for a one year Masters Degree Programme in any of the disciplines listed below:
  • Not above 30 years of age by December 2011.

COURSE OF STUDY:

Only candidates with offer of admission in disciplines related to the following areas should apply:
  • Geosciences,
  • Engineering [Petroleum, Mechanical, Sub Sea, Electrical, Marine, Chemical],
  • Petroleum Economics,
  • Oil Gas Law.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Applicants must submit an application stating the following in a one row Microsoft excel format strictly in the order shown in the sample below.


Short listed candidates will be requested to present original and photocopies of their credential during screening.

Newcastle University Scholarships Nigeria

The International Office is delighted to announce 2 Newcastle University Nigeria Scholarship (NU Nigeria Scholarship) awards. These are available for high achieving Nigerian students applying for entry onto postgraduate taught degree or research programmes within the Faculties of Humanities Arts and Social Sciences (HASS), Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE), and Medical Sciences (FMS) commencing their studies in September 2011. Each scholarship will have a value of £3,000, payable towards the first year of tuition fees.

ELIGIBILITY:

You could be eligible to apply for a NU Nigeria Scholarship if:

1. You have been offered a place on any postgraduate degree programme in the faculties of HASS, SAgE or FMS 

2. You are a Nigerian national and have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes.
 
3. You have an First Class Bachelors degree from a recognised Nigerian University and satisfy all other requirements
 
4. You intend to register to start your studies during the 2011-12 academic year
 
5. You are a self-funded student and not in receipt of other University or external awards

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

The scheme is applied for via separate application form including a personal statement of no more than 500 words.

FURTHER INFORMATION:

The closing date for receipt of applications is Thursday, 30th June 2011. Country managers will award on the basis of best qualified students and content of personal statement – in consultation with Head of International Recruitment and faculty representatives.

Please note that NU Nigeria Scholarship applications cannot be considered for candidates unless they have already applied for and been offered a place to study at the University.
