(CAPP) is a membership, voluntary, non-religious, non-ethnic, non-governmental and not for profit, community focused organization established in 1993 Its functions are to build the capacity of CBOs, CSOs, and members in the area of Education, budget tracking, community peace building, gender popular participation and democracy. Our vision is to establish a Society where communities drive the governance and developmental process.
We have branch offices in Minna, Birnin Kebbi, Zaria, Jos, Kaduna, Katsina, Bauchi, and coordinated by a head office in .
As a result of a special education initiative targeting the girl-child in Northern Nigeria, we require the services of a qualified and experienced person who has passion for work in basic education: gender HIV/AIDS for this position.


POST TITLE: (1 position)

LOCATION: State

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work closely with the Programme Manager
 
2. Coordinate and execute state project activities
 
3. Coordinate research and documentation in project state
 
4. Project documentation and circulation
 
5. Coordinate participatory monitoring and evaluation of project activities
 
6. Mobilize and conduct training for stakeholders in the project area
 
7. Ensure achievement of targets in the designated project area
 
8. Periodically analyze state education programs and policies
 
9. Strong leadership and good advocacy skills

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS &COMPETENCES

1. Functional Skills and knowledge, ability to work effectively in team,
 
2. Ability to analyze data, present results and effectively monitor progress
 
3. Good command of written and spoken English and Hausa Languages

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

1. A good degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Humanities,

2. Journalism, Linguistics, , and any other or ,
 
3. Basic computer certification,
 
4. Training certificates on relevant areas of CSO intervention,
 
5. Good knowledge of communities dynamics in Northern Nigeria,
 
6. 2-4 working experience in CSD or social development field,
 
7. Certification in education will be added advantage,
 
8. Knowledge of project management and administration is a Key requirement,
 
9. Must be able to speak the Hausa language.


POST TITLE:

LOCATION:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work closely with the Programme Manager
 
2. Responsible for drawing up budgets for proposals,
 
3. Project development and implementation and
 
4. Other logistics arrangement for programmes
 
5. Prepare financial accounting reports to donor agencies and partners as at when due
 
6. Coordinate financial Reports from State Branches
 
7. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

1. Candidates should have a good first degree or higher national diploma in Accounting. Finance or any related field
 
2. Membership of professional accounting bodies like IGAN, ANAN.
 
3. Minimum of five (5) years of working experience preferable in a not-for-profit non-state organization

KEY COMPETENCES:

1. Strong analytical mind,

3. Ability to work in a team,

4. Ability to work with title or no supervision,

5. Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel and SUN accounting Package.
