Globacom Limited is Nigeria’s second National Operator providing GSM, Fixed Broadband and Gateway services with subsidiaries in Nigeria, Republic of Benin, Ghana and other West African countries. We have just launched the commercial services of Glo 1 submarine cable. It’s the only direct undersea cable from London to Lagos, and 13 other African countries, with a dedicated link to America. All connecting seamlessly into Glo’s 10,000 kilometres of fibre-optic backbone throughout Nigeria. In fact, Glo1 has created the only completely end to end communications network in the region.
With Points of Presence (POP) in the UK, Hong Kong, USA and Virtual POPs in France and Germany, Glo Gateway services manage roaming connections, voice and data traffic both in the local and international markets.
The company needs capable professionals who can fill various positions in Glo 1. The positions attract internationally competitive remuneration.
POST TITLE: Head, Products and Service (Ref: HP/S)
EDUCATIONS:
1. Relevant university degree are required,
3. Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE:
18-20 years with at least 5 years at a senior level in a leading telecoms/ISP company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Design product architecture, service delivery models on various technology platform; implement new products and services for bandwidth consuming segments across west African markets and potential global markets,
2. Manage and guide the products and services team towards its objective of developing new
products/services/solutions for Glo 1 in line with organizational objectives,
3. Research the market needs and aspirations and design/develop various new services and solutions in Glo 1 portfolio,
4. Identify new solutions, which can be added to the Glo 1 service portfolio,
5. Undertake commercial pricing of new solutions/services to be adopted by Glo 1 for top line and gross margin benchmarks set by the company.
POST TITLE: Access Product Manager (Ref: APM)
EDUCATIONS:
1. Relevant university degree are required,
3. Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE:
1. 7-12 years experience in a leading telecoms/ISP company with at least 5 years relevant experience as Data Products manager for a telecom company.
2. Strong relevant technical competencies in data products and carrier access.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Identify and evaluate various technologies for providing last mile solutions,
2. Design, develop and rollout access products architecture, service delivery model for the same and IT billing support for various segments like Carrier, Enterprise and WiFi,
3. Develop and rollout sales, marketing and customer service business objectives for access products,
4. Undertake pricing and tariff for Glo 1 across customer segments,
POST TITLE: Internet Data Centre (IDC) and Managed Services Manager (Ref: IDCM).
EDUCATIONS:
1. Relevant university degree are required,
3. Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE:
1. 9-12 years experience in a leading telecoms/ISP company with at least 4 years as a Product Manager for Data Centre and Managed Services,
2. Strong relevant technical competencies in IDC space with leading Telecoms or ISP company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Design, develop and rollout IDC and managed IDC services,
2. Define the product architecture, service delivery model and IT billing support,
3. Design various IDC services like collocation, hosting services, and managed services in data security and backups.
