Siemens is a leading OEM in the global Energy sector. As a reputable, multinational company our aim is to recruit staff with the right mix of technical and professional experience. You will be reporting directly to the Technical Head Sales and be responsible for selling high-quality Siemens products to Power/ Energy customers in the Nigerian market.
POST TITLE: Senior Engineer – Sales & Business Development
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategic identification and realization of sales prospects and leads
2. Contract preparation, pricing and negotiation
3. Customer relationship management
4. Design and management of medium to large scale electrical projects
5. Definition and implementation of appropriate sales and marketing strategy
6. Design and update of industry business model
7. Proactive analysis of energy distribution market
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelors degree from accredited university in Electrical/ Electronics engineering,
2. A relevant masters degree or its equivalent in a related field of study,
4. Project Management certification.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Minimum of 8 years sales and marketing experience
2. Experience handling switch gears, transformers and protection relays – familiarity with Siemens
products a bonus
3. Experience in project management/ execution of major electrical construction projects
4. Previous experience working for an OEM or utilities company considered a bonus
5. Deep knowledge of Nigerian power sector, market participants and trends
REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. Proficiency in MS Office desktop applications, AutoCAD and Electrical Design software
2. Good presentation skills
3. Good communication and negotiation skills
4. Business modelling and strategy definition
5. Business planning knowledge
POST TITLE: Sales Engineer – Electrical Field
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Preparing proposals, quotations and sales contracts.
2. Presenting and selling company products and services to customers.
3. Proactively updating knowledge of market trends and industry
4. Maintaining accurate sales and customer database
5. Participating actively in marketing events such as conferences, exhibitions, etc.
6. Training of customers on various products
7. Regular follow-up sales activities
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. First degree from accredited university in Electrical/ Electronics engineering,
EXPERIENCE:
1. Minimum of 5 years in electrical industry,
2. Extensive sales and marketing experience,
4. Previous experience working for an OEM or utilities company considered a bonus.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. Proficiency in MS Office desktop applications, AutoCAD and Electrical Design software,
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral),
3. Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills,
4. Team player with customer service focus,
5. Flexibility/ adaptability – willing to travel at short notice.
