A World Class Manufacturing Company Jobs: Recruitment for Management Accountant, Cost Accounting Officer
THE ORGANIZATION:
We are World Class Manufacturing Company with a modern automated Fabrication and Galvanising Steel Plant in Nigeria. We currently require the services of experienced and articulate candidates to fill the positions below
POST TITLE: Management Accountant
SKILLS & COMPETENCY:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or any finance related discipline,
2. Three to five (3-5) years experience in a similar role,
3. Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, CIMA, CPA. and ACCA) will be an added advantage,
4. Good knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts, principles and practices regarding budgeting and management reporting,
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills,
6. Good knowledge of trend analysis,
7. Proficiency in data collation and analysis,
8. Financial modeling skills,
9. Good report writing and presentation skills,
10. Good understanding of Local and International accounting standards and practices,
11. Good understanding of state, local and federal income tax legislation,
12. Excellent problem analysis and solving skills,
13. Proficiency in the use of SAP and other applicable accounting packages,
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Co-ordinate the budget preparation, monitoring and control process, in line with agreed policies and procedures,
2. Develop, review and circulate annual budget guidelines/ assumptions to all departments,
3. Compile all inputs into the budget from the business units and departments and prepare detailed budget for management review and approval,
4. Develop and maintain a budget/ commitment tracking system for the company,
5. Analyze budget performance, identify and obtain explanations for significant variances,
6. Make relevant contribution to the company’s cash forecasting and long range financial planning,
7. Develop/ update the management information report framework and templates, including defining the model for data and information gathering,
8. Develop, review and update monthly, quarterly and yearly financial forecasts and ratio analysis,
9. Develop relevant financial models and conduct financial analysis on the company’s performance along defined indicators,
10. Ensure timely generation of periodic reports for use by management for strategic decision making,
11. Compute accurately and file all Federal. State and Local tax returns to ensure the company’s compliance with all tax laws and regulations,
12. Liaise with Accounts Officer, Treasury to ensure cheques for tax payments are promptly issued and make tax payments at designated banks and obtain necessary receipts and documents for tax filing.
POST TITLE: Cost Accounting Officer
SKILLS & COMPETENCY:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting of any finance related discipline,
2. Two to three (2-3) years experience in 3 similar role,
4. Good knowledge and understanding of costing and accounting concepts, principles and practices,
5. Good understanding of local and international accounting standards and practices,
6. Ability to develop project budgets and monitor expenditure,
7. Good knowledge of trend analysis,
8. Proficiency in data collation and analysis,
9. Good report writing and presentation skills,
10. Well- developed ability to manage multiple priorities,
11. Excellent problem analysis and solving skills,
12. Proficiency in the use of SAP and other applicable accounting packages.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Collection and collation of Goods Issue Note from store,
2. Extraction of information from the goods issue note and analyzing same into different accounts headings,
3. Fixing costs on the materials issued to production,
4. Calculation of total cost of materials issued to plants,
5. Producing reports on the total materials consumed in each of the plants,
6. Reviewing of reports with Cost Accountant with a view to ensuring that correct information is passed to management,
7. Collection and collation of Goods Received Note from the company’s warehouses,
8. Extracting information of purchased material from the goods received note and grouping same accordingly,
9. Check costs from the LPO and marching it with materials grouping,
10. Calculation of total material purchased,
11. Production of reports for the consideration of Cost Accountant,
12. Counting of stocks at the end of the month,
13. Collation and compilation of the value of monthly total closing stock,,
14. Monitoring of activities in the plant and reporting non compliance to Cost Accountant,
15. Reconciliation of monthly physical stock count with ledger balance,
16. Calculation of landed cost of goods imported by the company,
17. Ensuring that internal control procedures established by management is strictly adhered to by staff.
