POST TITLE:   Field Engineers

 

JOB LOCATION: Lagos
 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Field support Engineer candidate will be providing onsite technical and system support for clients to assist in project implementation. He will exhibit best practice in conducting site survey, developing Bill of Material and designing project plan.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

He/she will also be responsible for:

1. Detailed Site Surveys and reporting (for last mile solution, it could be Fibre Access, Metro, Longhaul, FTTx or radio)
 

2. Radio installation,
 

3. Optic fibre last mile build/installations,
 

4. Field support,
 

5. Daily Report writing and generating last mile solutions,
 

6. PoP maintenance,
 

7. Cable Management,
 

8. LAN Design and implementation,
 

9. Systems integration,
 

10. Equipment testing and installation,
 

11. Monthly PoP reports,
 

12. Monthly network documentation reports,
 

13. Updating Network metro Diagram,

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

1. HND/BSc in Electrical engineering or related engineering field from a reputable university,
 

2. 2 to 3 years experience in the telecommunications environment,
 

3. Professional Qualifications in relevant areas; CCNA, CCNP, WIMAX certification,
 

4. Good knowledge of LAN, WLAN, WAN, MAN,VSATS, FTTX and IP,
 

5. Should have knowledge and experience in Project Management,
 

6. Should have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite 2007 especially VISIO,
 

7. Understanding of optic fibre technologies, VSAT, LAN,
 

8. Good project management skills,
 

9. Good knowledge of LAN and IP.
