THE COMPANY:

Our Company is one of the foremost players in the Financial Services Sector of the Nigerian Economy and is desirous of recruiting an Investment Manager on the basis of the details below:

POST TITLE:   Head Investments

JOB OBJECTIVE(S):
  • Provides direction and guidance to investment activities
  • Manages customers’ contributions in line with agreed investment guidelines and limits
  • Ensures that the company delivers on its promise to customers (maximization of returns without unnecessary exposure to high risks)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & AGE REQUIRED:
  • Qualification: Applicant must possess minimum of HND or first degree in Accounting or any relevant social sciences.
  • Age: Between 35 and 45 years.
EXPERIENCED REQUIRED:
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum of 8 years post qualification experience of  which at least 3 must have been on managerial level.
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP:
  • Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Stock Brokers is a must.
  • Additional professional qualification such as ICAN will be an added advantage.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
  • Reports to: GM, Finance
  • Supervises all staff in investment unit
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Initiate the development of investment strategy and policies and ensure its implementation
2. Ensure revenue and Profit targets of the investment desk of the company are achieved. ,
3. Perform a primary role in the selection, the analysts and the implementa­tion of investment opportunities in the public/listed equities, insure safety of investment assets and funds both principal and interest. Ensure that transaction execution and documentation is of the highest standards of governance and in full compliance with relevant regulations.
4. Generate relevant investment and market analysis reports for management
5. Provide leadership for the investment team and work within approved budgets & targets.
6. Ensure proper placement of fresh investments as and when necessary
7. Negotiation of interest rates with banks, leasing companies and other financial institutions
8. Prepare regular analysis of banks and other financial institutions with a view to advising management of best investment decision.
9. Provides analysis and reports that facilitate decision making.
10. Prepare relevant investment report regularly for management and board use.
11. Any other function as may be assigned by GM Finance.
