We require suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions below in a Quarry around the Cross River State area.

POST TITLE:   Quarry Manager

REPORTING TO: Project Manager /Country Manager,

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Applicant must possess a degree in Mining Engineering or its equivalent,
• Should have 10 years working experience in the same capacity and be computer literate in Micro soft packages,
• The person must possess the skills and abilities to manage quarry operations, ensuring achievement of planned work schedule within contractual; procedural and legal requirements,
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including the Nigeria Mining  Act,
• Ability to create and read designs and blast patterns,
• Liaise with maintenance department on equipment supply availability issues,
• Liaise with the Client representatives on operation and safety issues.
• Ensure incident reports are initiated and encourage hazard reporting and development of controls,
• Liaise with the Client representatives on invoice compilation, negotiations and reconciliation.

POST TITLE:   Senior Quarry Supervisor

REPORTING TO: – Project Manager, Quarry Superintendent / Quarry Manager,

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Applicant should have a degree in Mining Engineering or its equivalent will be desirable,
• 5 -7 years working experience in the same capacity and be computer literate in Micro soft packages,
• The person must possess the skills and abilities to supervise the quarry operations department by ensuring achievement of daily work schedule within procedure and legal requirements,
• Organise work group to maximize site productivity requirement,
• Liaise with the drill and blast team to ensure drill areas are prepared to an acceptable standard in a timely and thorough manner,
• Ability to create and read designs and blast patterns,
• Ensure all subordinates comply with legitimate instructions as issues,
• Liaise with the client representatives on operational and safety issues,
• Liaise with maintenance department on planning and equipment breakdown issues.

POST TITLE: Operator (CAT/LIEBHERR)

AREA OF SPECIALIZATION:

Excavator, Bulldozer, Grader, Dump Truck, Wheel Loader, Drills etc

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Applicant must possess Trade Test or its equivalent,
• Should have 2-5 years working  experience in the Operation of Heavy Duty Earth Moving Equipment,
• He/she must be able to speak and write in English and a holder of a current Class H
• Nigerian Drivers License,
• Ensure all work activities comply with company standards,
• Operate in a safe and efficient manner,
• Wear correct PPE and identify hazard in the workplace,
• Abide by all Company Policies and Procedures,
• Report all Hazards, Incidents, Accidents and Danger immediately.

POST TITLE:   Maintenance Manager

REPORT TO: Project Manager/ Maintenance Manager International and Country Manager

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Applicant must possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Trade Test or its equivalent,
• Should have 10 years working experience in the Maintenance of Heavy Duty Earth Moving Equipment (Excavators, Bulldozers Graders, Wheel loaders, Dump Trucks etc,) and be computer tolerate in Micro soft packages,
• He/ She must be familiar with the use of Electronic Technology for diagnostics and fault finding,
• Liaise with production department on breakdown/ availability Issues,
• Ensure that company and client risk management strategies and initiatives are met,
• Undertake documented incident investigation for all Incidents,
• Ensure all maintenance registers are reviewed and updated on a schedules basis,
• Monitor all maintenance cost expenditures and equipment performances on site.

 

POST TITLE:   Maintenance Shift Supervisor

REPORTING TO: Maintenance Manager

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Applicant must possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Trade Test or its equivalent,
• Should have 5-7 years working experience in the Maintenance of Heavy Duty Earth Moving Equipment (Excavators, Bulldozers, Graders, Wheel Loaders, Dump Trucks etc.) and be computer literate in Micro soft packages,
• He/ She must be familiar with the use of Electronic Technology for diagnostics and fault finding,
• Liaise with production department Equipment breakdown / availability issues,
• Liaise with maintenance planner to order parts for major shutdowns,
• Ensure maintenance work objectives are safely met,
• Liaise with contract equipment companies, suppliers, product, support, staff and personnel.

POST TITLE:   Maintenance Planner

REPORTING TO: Maintenance Manager

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Applicant must possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or possess Trade Test or its equivalent,
• Should have 3-5 years working experience in the Maintenance Planning of Heavy Duty Earth Moving Equipment (Excavators, Bulldozers, Graders, Wheel Loaders, Dump Trucks etc.) and have excellent computer skills in Micro Soft Word and Excel,
• He/she must possess planning skills, be familiar with equipment parts and be able to read and analyze parts  book,
• Liaise with client, suppliers, service providers, staff and other personnel,
• Assist management with budget, costing and job planning,
• Ensure planned jobs are issued daily, weekly and monthly,
• Comply with company policies and procedures.

POST TITLE:   CAT/Heavy Duty Mechanic

REPORTING TO: Maintenance Shift Supervisor

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Applicant should possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering; possess Trade Test or its equivalent,
• Should have 5 -7 years  working  experience  in the  Maintenance of Heavy Duty Earth Moving  Equipment (Excavators, Bulldozers, Graders, Wheel Loaders, Dump Trucks etc),
• He/she must be familiar with the use of  Electronic Technology for diagnostics and fault  finding
• Ensure all work activities comply with company standards,
• Minimize plant downtime with efficient servicing of all machinery and effective fault identification,
• Carry out maintenance repair and servicing to all company plants and equipment,
• Complete equipment diagnostics checks in line with procedure,
• Ensure all maintenance work objectives are safely met and carry out JSEAs,
• Wear correct PPE and identify hazard in the workplace,
• Complete equipment diagnostics checks.

POST TITLE:   Storeman

REPORTING TO: Site Accountant

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Applicant must possess the ability to read and write in English, possess Trade Test or its equivalent
• Should have 5-7 years working experience in Heavy Duty Earth Moving Equipment (Excavators, Bulldozers, Graders, Wheel loaders, and Dump Trucks etc) storekeeping,
• He/she must be able to operated a forklift, be computer literate in the use of Micro soft word and excel
• Comply with company policies and procedure,
• Liaise with client, suppliers, service provides, staff on parts requirement and procurement
• Maintain and update computerized stores stock inventory for all site store items,
• Issues all stock items as required ensuring all transaction are documented,
• Check and respond to email, document and pass on messages,
• Compile daily, weekly, monthly spend reports and graphs,
• Ensure all correct parts are ordered and on time,
• Ensure parts for planned Jobs are issued to the correct equipment and in the correct bin location ready for Issues,
• Receipt all stock coming on site,
• Create, update and maintain spread sheets and documents,
• Provide assistance to maintenance Planner and shift supervise,
• Assist management with budgets, costing and job planning,
• Knowledge and interpretation of parts.

NOTE:

All position must possess good communication skill, organizational skills, be a team player, exhibit leadership skills and possess a valid class E driving license.
