POST TITLE: State Program Officers - Prevention and Mitigation

JOB LOCATIONS: Akwa Ibom, Edo, and Rivers States
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The State Program Officer will provide technical and programmatic leadership and support to the CBO/FBO to implement high quality care and support activities at the State and community levels for orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), TB/HIV patients and RH services,
- Successful candidates will be involved in advocacy activities and work in partnership with the State and LGA SACA, LACA, Health Management Board, CBO and other influential partners.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Preference will be given to candidates with B.Sc in health management social sciences, public health or related field,
- Higher degree such as MPH or MBA with 5-7 years post national youth service corps experience at the community level will be an added advantage,
- Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems, CBOs, and strong background in OVC programming for vulnerable children, Reproductive Health, HIV and TB/HIV Integration are highly desirable,
- Preference will be given to candidates from the project selected States and with demonstrated relevant prevent previous experience.
POST TITLE: Finance Officers

JOB LOCATION: Abuja
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support in the preparation of work plans/budgets, and tracking of budgets,
- Ensure that that there is adequate fund for project implementation and ensure that expenditure is kept within approved budget,
- Maintain working relationship with all sub-sub-recipients (SSRs): attend to all fund requests and ensure timely receipt of all reports expected from them,
- Review retirements from SSRs and conduct regular visits for compliance with generally acceptable accounting practice and assist in continuous advance status reports and budget tracking analysis reports,
- Prepare payment vouchers,
- Cheques and issue receipts for cash/cheques receipts,
- Maintain contacts with the banks contractors, hotels, auditors, tax authorities, etc.,
- Maintain petty cash.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Candidates must be a fully or partly qualified accountant with first degree/HND in Accounting or other related social sciences,
- Also required is a minimum of 3 years working experience with strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and QuickBooks, analytical,
- Interpersonal and oral communication,
- Familiarity with Nigerian NGOs and USAID contractual procedures is a must.
POST TITLE: Deputy Director-Programs

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Deputy Director, Programs will be responsible for the overall coordination of a Program aimed at Strengthening integrated Delivery of HIV and AIDS Services in Nigeria (SIDHAS) and will serve as the focal person for communications and reporting to the President/CEO, FHI and all other SIDHAS partners,
- He/She will also liaise with government agencies and other key stakeholders at the National and State levels for proper administration, implementation and sustainability of the project,
- Lead the implementation of SIDHAS’ Community component of the grant on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, TB/HIV collaborative activities and Reproductive Health related integrated Programs/projects of the organization,
- Lead the preparation of SIDHAS’ programmatic and M and E reports and ensure timely submission of complete and effective documentations and reports to the Executives, donors and other stakeholders,
- Lead and maintain contact with government agencies, donors, partners and other stakeholders on behalf of the organization,
- Plan, organize, conduct and evaluate trainings and participate in the review and development of training materials,
- Provide technical assistance in project implementation and assign responsibilities to project staff in Akwa Ibom, Edo and Rivers States in the first instance, taking into cognizance skills and ability of such staff to perform up to expectation,
- Perform advocacy responsibilities and ensure project sustainability plan for the grant,
- Support FHI and the Executives in planning and implementing specific and general organizational development and promotional activities, e.g. strategic plan, disseminating organizational information, etc.,
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Applicants must preferably possess a medical/nursing background with at least additional qualifications such as MPH or Masters in Social Sciences,
- Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 8 years experience with national or international or government agencies in the field of HIV/AIDS/TB/SRH,
- The candidate should have language and proficiency in the use of computer application packages,
- Evidence of strong leadership and Program capacity strengthening skill in the previous employment will be an added advantage.
POST TITLE: TB Program Coordinator

JOB LOCATION: Abuja
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic direction for the project and put systems in place to enhance project performance (quality, timelines and cost),
- Provide overall coordination of project team members and Sub Recipients (SRs) and ensure availably and allocation of all resources required to meet project requirements and expectations and ensure that grant funds are expended in effective and efficient manner,
- Review reports from project team and ensure that they correctly reflect project performance on the field,
- Participate in the design and implementation of national strategic plan and policy at National and State levels,
- Participate effectively in Program development activities by providing needed technical assistance during proposal development,
- Ensure that international best practices are adhered to in all aspects of the program management.
OTHER INCLUDE:
- Mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for assigned responsibilities,
- Set performance objectives for the project team and carry out mid-term and end of the year appraisal,
- Participate in meetings with the Federal Ministry of Health, State Ministry of Health, Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) and other stakeholders,
- Form strategy partnership with donor organizations and NGOs in the country,
- Ensure that project transactions are kept within the limits of the budget, and grant funds are expended in efficient and effective manner.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicants must possess a medical/nursing background, with at least a Master’s degree in Public Health or Social Science,
- Working experience on donor funded TB projects in Nigeria, with strong experience in health service delivery and health systems strengthening programs in Nigeria is an added advantage,
- Ability to relate effectively with development partners, Civil Society Organizations and Ministry of Health at National and State levels are essential,
- Strong skills in leadership, organizational, analytical, institutional capacity strengthening, interpersonal and excellent written and oral communication with proficiency in computer packages such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Epi-info and SPSS are necessary,
- Experience and good understanding of Global Fund principles and procedures is also desirable.
