Save the Children Latest Jobs in Nigeria: Recruitment for 7 Job Positions

Today, twenty-eight national Save the
Children organizations participate in the International Save the Children Alliance – a global network of nonprofit  organizations working in over 120 countries around the world.

In addition, to promoting greater public awareness of the needs and rights of children worldwide, Alliance members coordinate emergency relief efforts, helping to protect children from the effects of disasters; both natural and manmade. 

We also work with the existing Food and Nutrition Partnership Forum to influence government and donors to bring the issue of agenda.

POST TITLE:   HR Administrator

JOB LOCATION: Kano

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To provide administrative support and assistance for the development and of management of Human Resources functions, the development and maintenance of policies and procedures, the security of staff and the promotion of the Child Safe Guarding Policy.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • The Ideal candidate should have at least 2 years experience within the HR field and very good understanding of managing HR issues.

POST TITLE:   Business and Compliance Manager

JOB LOCATION: Kano

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Business and Compliance Manager will oversee all fiscal management and internal controls of the Accountable Grant for DFID Improving Maternal, Newborn and Child Nutrition in Northern Nigeria,
  • He/she will also ensure the Accountable Grant is administered according to DFID regulations and policies,
  • Under the leadership of the Chief of Party, the position will be responsible for ensuring that all partners and DFID Chief of Party, the position will be requirements for sub-grants, budget planning, monitoring, and reporting are fully met in a timely manner,
  • This requires close liaison with the finance, budget and financial planning departments of all partners, Save the Children as well as DFID,
  • In addition he/she will oversee all fiscal management and internal controls of the partnership agreement with HPI and Grid for PRRINN/MNCH,
  • This is a Senior Management position.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree in business, project management or finance related disciplines from a recognized institution. An advanced degree is an added advantage,
  • At least b years’ experience managing donor funded projects.

POST TITLE:   Finance Officer (2)

JOB LOCATION: Kano and Zamfara

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • To provide financial management support a and assistance to the county programme through working with the Finance and Grants team to ensure the effective use of resources and provide accurate and timely information for management decision making.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Ideal candidate should have level of Education –Degree/HND, with Specified Study Area in Finance/Banking, Accounting/Economics.

POST TITLE:   Admin/Logistics Assistant (2)

JOB LOCATION: Kano and Zamfara

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

To provide general administrative and logistics support to our teams based in kano and Zamfara state.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • At least 2 years experience of providing administrative and logistics.

POST TITLE:   Grants Officer (2)

JOB LOCATION: Kano

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To manage grant and provide support to field offices, partners and internal/external auditors.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Substantial experience in grants management with good experience in Financial Management systems,
  • Proven skills in the use of an accounting software budgeting systems.

POST TITLE:   IYCF Advisor

JOB LOCATION: Katsina 
  • To strengthen the capacity of the Local Government Area (LGA) nutrition focal person or team in management, delivery, and advocacy or cost- effective malnutrition prevention and treatment interventions,
  • To Support implementation of IYCF activities by providing training and guidance to STAs, LTAs and Government counterparts.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • At least a B.A in programme management, health and nutrition, or related social sciences,
  • Previous experience within the NGO/INGO sector is desirable, with strong programme management background.

POST TITLE:   M and E Advisor

JOB LOCATION: Zamfara

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure implementation of the M and E plan for the Nutrition Programme, including monitor progress against activity and critical milestones as well as providing support and guidance to STAs, LTAs and Government counterparts.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with substantial training and very good experience in designing M and E systems, in particular,
  • Advanced training in quantitative methodologies, including database management,
  • Direct experience of monitoring and evaluation related to one or more of these fields; health, HIV, nutrition and/ or economics of at least 2years.
