NIGERIA MEMS Current Job Vacancy: Recruitment for MONITORING AND EVALUATION SPECIALIST

THE ORGANIZATION:

The Nigeria Monitoring and Evaluation Management Services 11 (MEMS 11) is a USAID/Nigeria-funded project implemented by the Mitchell Group, Inc, and based in Abuja, FCT, provides comprehensive monitoring and evaluation support services to the USAID/Nigeria Mission, serving Mission staff and their partner organizations working in the following USAID program areas- Peace & Democratic Governance, Economic Growth & Environment, Health & Education and HIV/AIDS & TB.

Our M & E Specialists ate responsible for ensuring that Mission and partner Performance Management Plans meet USAID standards, for conducting rigorous. Data Quality Assessments and supporting data collation exercise. They also work closely with partners to harmonize data collection methodologies and data analysis for complex performance indicators. MEMS II M & E Specialists also assist with the development of detailed Scopes of Work and the recruitment of local; consultants to support the Mission’s Evaluation Agenda and they have the opportunity to participate in these studies.

POST TITLE:   MONITORING AND EVALUATION SPECIALIST

Nigeria MEMS II is currently recruiting for Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in the area of Economic Growth & Environment (EG/E), agriculture economic development and food security. Experience in EG/E- related performance monitoring is desirable, but above all, a firm foundation in research methodologies is sought. We have a particular interest in hearing from people who have strong qualitative research skills used in the context of undertaking rigorous evaluations. Though his position is tied to a specific sector, the incumbent will be expected to contribute to a variety of Nigeria MEMS 11 activities including one-on-one technical assistant to Mission staff and partners form other sectors, the delivery of M & E Training and support to Evaluations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the USAID Nigeria Mission & Partners update, refine & in some instances develop their Performance Monitoring Plans, particularly those of EG/E Team nut also other Mission teams on needed,
Undertake objective assessment of Data Quality,
Collate and analyze data as necessary for the Mission’s PMP,
Assist in designing, planning, participation in & overseeing Evaluation of the Mission’s program,www.bestnigeriajobs.blogspot.com

Contributing to Quarterly reports to USAID,
Prepare technical reports and other documents as required.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

EDUCATION:
Master’s Degree in Development economics, social sciences, statistics or other related fields. Evidence of formal training in qualitative research skills or evaluative research. Formal training in performance management is highly desirable.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum five (5) years of experience in monitoring and evaluation of development programs, preferably on agricultural development, food security, or programs. Technical understanding of economic development, agriculture and/or food security, nutrition, and ability to design and track indicators to measure performance in these areas. Previous experience working with international donors required. Strong data collection, analysis, and report writing skills required. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Knowledge of statistical packages/ Epi, Info, ACCESS, SPSS etc and database) are required.

POST TITLE:    QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTORS
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have HND in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with at least 4 years experience in high speed manufacturing environment where safety and quality are essential priorities
2. Must know how to use basic quality measurement equipments and good laboratory practices
The age of the Applicants should be between 28 and 35 years, must be matured, analytical and honest
