Globacom Limited is Nigeria’s second National Operator providing GSM, Fixed Broadband and Gateway services with subsidiaries in Nigeria, Republic of Benin, Ghana and other West African countries. We have just launched the commercial services of Glo 1 submarine cable. It’s the only direct undersea cable from London to Lagos, and 13 other African countries, with a dedicated link to America. All connecting seamlessly into Glo’s 10,000 kilometres of fibre-optic backbone throughout Nigeria. In fact, Glo 1 has created the only completely end to end communications network in the region.

With Points of Presence  (POP) in the UK, Hong Kong, USA and Virtual POPs in France and Germany, Glo Gateway services manage roaming  connections, voice and data traffic both in the local and international markets.

The company needs capable professionals who can fill various positions in Glo 1. The positions attract internationally competitive remuneration.


POST TITLE:

  • A. U.K   REFERENCE: GSM/UK

  • B. USA  REFERENCE: GSM/USA


EDUCATIONS:

1. Relevant university degree are required,
 
2. A degree in , or related discipline is preferred,
 
3. Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.



EXPERIENCE:

1. 10-12 years experience in handling international voice and data , selling for global carries in UK, EU & USA,
 
2. Good Experience in selling high end data solutions like IPLC, IP Transient, Global MPLS, Data Centers and Video/audio conferencing.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Interact daily with various global carriers and enterprises for incoming and outgoing International data traffic from Nigeria and other West African countries,
 
2. Offer a techno- commercial proposal including schematics and network diagrams. Facilitate signing of interconnect agreement with global carriers of region,
 
3. End to end development including lead generation, order closure to order processing.

POST TITLE: Head, WiFi Sales


REFERENCE: HWIFI


EDUCATIONS:

1. Relevant university degree are required,
 
2. A degree in , or related discipline is preferred,
 
3. Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.


EXPERIENCE:

1. 14-18 years experience in a leading /ISP company with at least 5 years at a senior level,
 
2. Strong relevant technical competencies in WiFi domain, Responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Meeting and exceeding revenue targets as defined in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP),
 
2. Automate systems relating to billing, revenue accounting, channel commission and revenue realization for the ,
 
3. Coordinate with product teams tor timely delivery of product variations required in the market for specific verticals and segments.



POST TITLE:


REFERENCE: SWIFI


EDUCATIONS:

1. Relevant university degree are required,
 
2. A degree in , or related discipline is preferred,
 
3. Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

1. 7-10 years experience in a leading /ISP company with the last 3 years as a
 
2. Strong relevant technical competencies in WiFi domain.
 
3. Must have experience in setting up WiFi Networks or WiFi
 
4. Hot spots.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Evaluate versions and upgrades of WiFi technologies,
 
2. Evaluate and certify acceptability of shortlisted WiFi spots,
 
3. Prepare and follow established process to select WiFi spots, evaluate vendors’ network and end user equipment,
 
4. Design city-wide WiFi networks.

POST TITLE:


REFERENCE: SAWIFI


EDUCATIONS:

1. Relevant university degree are required, 
2. A degree in , or related discipline is preferred, 
3. Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.


EXPERIENCE:

1. 5-9 years experience in a leading /ISP company with the last 3 years in setting up a WiFi Network, 
2. Strong relevant technical competencies in a WiFi domain, 
3. Strong retail & franchisee management skills and experience will be an added advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Design the set-up of a good WiFi spot in consultation with customer, Glo 1 network team and suppliers, 
2. Provide technical and commercial support on sales calls to finalize WiFi spots, 
3. Assist sales team in preparing a techno-commercial proposal including schematics and network diagrams, as required.
