A Leading Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Jobs in Nigeria: Recruitment for Deputy State Program Manager, Strategic Behavior Communications / Community Mobilization Officer

We are a Leading and Reputable Non-Governmental Organization implementing a comprehensive family-focused HIV/ AIDS prevention, care and treatment program in partnership with different tiers of the Government of Nigeria- national, state, local and site levels. In line with the broadened scope and objectives of our work, the need for increased staff capacity around new and enlarged areas of focus have emerged. We therefore require the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic professionals to fill the positions below:
POST TITLE: Deputy State Program Manager
LOCATION: Kaduna
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the State program manager in managing and providing technical guidance to the state implementation team on HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs
- Assist in supervising a team of multi-disciplinary professionals providing technical assistance and support to facilities implementing HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs
- H/she will be very experienced in the clinical care and management of HIV patients and will be the technical lead on clinical issues
- Additional responsibilities will be to provide supportive supervision to clinical/technical staff based in the state to effectively meet their performance objective
- Assist with individual and site work planning
- Support state strategic planning, and reporting to donors
- The position will foster productive working relationships between the organization and stakeholders organizations while maintaining an excellent working relationship with counterparts at State and Local Levels, USG implementing partners, and local institutions
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced degree in Public health, Health Management, Medicine or Nursing
- Supervisory experience preferably in health program management
- At least 5 years of experience working in health care system in Nigeria
- Experience working in collaboration with local Governmental partners, U.S. Government or bilateral donors preferred
- Clinical experience in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment is a must
- Strong management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
- Must be capable of independently developing and implementing the duties described above.
- Ability to speak local languages is an added advantage.

POST TITLE: Strategic Behavior Communications / Community Mobilization Officer
LOCATION: Abuja
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the direction of the Program Implementation Director, the strategic Behavior Communication (SBC) Advisor will coordinate and provide technical assistance for all SBC support activities as part of the program,
- S/he will provide technical assistance in the design, implementation and evaluation of SBC/Community Mobilization activities,
- Coordinates the adaptation/development of IEC/media materials for the program and also work closely with the various sub-grantees to design and deliver communications interventions for behavior change to target groups.
- S/he will provide technical support to build the capacity of local sub-grantees work with CBOs and other staff to facilitate the transfer of skills to people living with HIV/AIDS and their families for prevention, support and care
- Assist in the application of program evaluation results, Newsletters, maintain communication websites, and prepare reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master degree in the social sciences with demonstrated ability to manage BCC activities in a large, complex health-related project,
- Minimum of 7 years working experience at a senior level including IEC.

The organization offers highly competitive salary packages for all positions in the organization, However, employment contracts for each of these positions will be tied to the duration of the grant supporting the position and will also be subject to a probationary period.
