THE ORGANIZATION:

We are a Leading and Reputable Non-Governmental Organization implementing a comprehensive family-focused HIV/ AIDS prevention, care and treatment program in partnership with different tiers of the Government of Nigeria- national, state, local and site levels. In line with the broadened scope and objectives of our work, the need for increased staff capacity around new and enlarged areas of focus have emerged. We therefore require the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic professionals to fill the positions below:

POST TITLE:   Clinical Services Officer (Pediatrics) 2 positions

LOCATIONS: Akwa Ibom, Benue

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform site visits and site assessments of treatment facilities assess, initiate, and enhance pediatric care and treatment services
  • Serve as a resource for the evaluation of ongoing pediatric care and treatment programs, and in the subsequent development of new and/or expanded programs for the care and treatment of HIV/AIDS in infants, children, and teenagers
  • Develop linkages with PMTCT programs to ensure follow-up of HIV-exposed infants. Support early infant diagnostic testing initiatives at supported sites.
  • Institute programs to identify HIV exposed and infected children including inpatient pediatric testing programs, pediatric HIV testing in adult clinics, linkages with OVC, etc
  • Coordinate technical support with other Clinical Advisors and the directorates of program implementation and support.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Advanced Medical Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years robust clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and antiretroviral treatment
  • Experience in managing Pediatric patients and country health care program development (3years + preferable)
  • Excellent grasp of clinical issues and current literature in Pediatrics, HIV/AIDS
  • Experience in training

POST TITLE:   Clinical Services Officer (TB/HIV) 3 positions

LOCATION: Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Benue

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Developing and refining materials related to TB-HIV integration such as clinical guidelines, protocols, algorithms, drug formularies and training materials
  • Initiating and enhancing TB/HIV integration services at sites
  • Providing training and clinical mentorship to facility staff on clinical management and integration of TB-HIV as well as TB screening
  • Training staff at DOTS sites on HIV counseling and testing
  • Developing and improving care and referral systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Advanced Degree in Medicine or Public Health (MD preferred)
  • Robust clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and antiretroviral treatment
  • Experience in managing TB patients and programming especially TB/HIV integration (3years + preferable).
  • Excellent grasp of clinical issues and current literature in TB, HIV/AIDS and OI
  • Experience in developing country health care programs.
  • Experience with facilitating trainings using participatory methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

The organization offers highly competitive salary packages for all positions in the organization, However, employment contracts for each of these positions will be tied to the duration of the grant supporting the position and will also be subject to a probationary period.
