Having set some ambitious goals, the Organization is seeking highly motivated and result-oriented professionals to take up various leadership responsibilities:
JOB TITLE: Head Information Technology (ES00581)
THE CANDIDATES:
The successful candidate will:
1. Reporting to the Executive Commissioner, Finance and Administration,
2. The successful candidate will drive and execute a comprehensive Information Technology (IT) strategy to enhance Organization’s business performance improvements,
3. He/she will have responsibility for facilitating maximum automation of business processes and the functionality of the IS infrastructure in support of the Organization’s operation,
Specifically, the candidate will:
1. Maintain the strategic information technology plan of the organization in line with current business needs and changing requirements,
2. Develop and implement information technology and management systems policy, establish the operating guidelines, procedures, and standards of performance to ensure that the department meets or exceeds the Organization’s information system needs and objectives,
3. Define annual operating plans and budgets for the IT function and the use of IT within the wider organization,
4. Manage the delivery of seamless IT services to users across the organization in line with
corporate requirements and service level agreements,
5. Develop and coordinate the delivery of IT solutions to the organization in accordance with agreed priorities, plans and standards,
6. Propose and coordinate the implementation of major IT development projects
Develop and maintain service level agreements with vendors and ensure vendor performance,
REQUIREMENTS:
1. A good first degree in Computer Science/Engineering or any related discipline from a reputable institution. A relevant postgraduate degree will be an added advantage

2. Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ post-qualification experience in a reputable public or private sector organization,
3. Demonstrable ability to contribute creatively to the development of IT strategies and procedures.
4. In-depth knowledge of core operational activities, technology deployment and associated risks in the financial services industry, with emphasis on best practices in the local and global financial markets.
5. Excellent knowledge of relevant IT facilities/infrastructure management processes and procedures
6. Excellent knowledge of standard financial systems, database management, and internetworking tools.
7. Good experience in Wide Area Network management and deployment of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
PERSONAL SKILLS:
In addition, eligible candidates for this position must possess
1. Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills in both formal and informal settings with key stakeholders.
2. Excellent leadership, planning and organization, as well as people management skills,
3. Excellent relationship management and strategic networking skills at the highest level in both private and public sectors,
4. High sense of responsibility, accountability and dependability.
5. Proficiency in the use of computer applications.
