Management Sciences for Health (MSH) Job: Vacancies for Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, Finance and Admin Officer, Finance and Admin Assistant
The MSH Prevention Organizational Systems AIDS Care and Treatment Project (ProACT) is a USAID-funded project managed by Management Science for Health (MSH). The goal of the project is to build the capacity of Nigerian’s public/private institutions and communities to strengthen sustainable systems for HIV/AIDS and TB service delivery.
The project seeks to recruit highly creative and innovative individuals with cutting edge technical skills and integrity to fill the positions below:
POST TITLE: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
LOCATION: Taraba State
- The success of the MSH-ProACT project depends largely on accurate, complete and timely reporting of achievements to PEPFAR/USAID. Achievement of set targets is of utmost importance. The M & E Specialist provides technical leadership in the roll-out of MSH-ProACT M&E plan in the State, integrating it with other health systems and generating strategic data for program management, reporting and documentation of best practices.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
1. Candidate must possess a Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Epidemiology or related field with focus on monitoring and evaluation and/or Biostatistics,
2. At least two years hand on experience in monitoring and evaluation with very good analytical, presentation, communication and reporting skills,
3. Significant experience in developing monitoring plans and/or management information system, two years NGOs in an African settings,
4. Excellent inter-personal, multi-cultural and team building skills,
5. Strong computer skill particularly in spreadsheets, database and statistical applications.

POST TITLE: Finance and Admin Officer (FAO)
LOCATION: State Office
- Finance and Admin Officer oversees the operations and finance of the State office. She or he is responsible for day-to-day accounting, check writing and managing bank account following USAID regulations and MSH policy and procedures. She or he ensures the proper use, maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment, such as generators, vehicles, communication, computer units and peripherals, video and audio equipment, other office equipment and air conditioners and ensures implementation of regulations and procedures for local purchase procurement and logistics management.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
1. Candidate must possess a University degree in Business Management or Accounting or equivalent certification from a Business technical school,
2. Minimum of three years management experience with USAID –funded projects,
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs especially Excel spreadsheets,
4. Ability to use accounting software (i.e Quick Books),
5. Demonstrative good judgment and sound financial “common sense”.

POST TITLE: Finance and Admin Assistant
LOCATION: State Offices
- The FAA ensures the smooth operation of technical efforts and/or field activities by providing logistical support and coordinating programmatic information for the Nigeria project activities. She/he will assist technical advisors specialists and Senior Managers to coordinate project activities and will assist Finance & Admin Officer (FAO) for ensuring that any money expanded in the field is done accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting principles, MSH policy, and any cost principles imposed by the donor agency.
- The FAA is aware of, and adheres to MSH’s procurement integrity standards in all activities. She/he works with other staff from the headquarters and/or partner organizations to coordinate technical assistance.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
1. Candidate must have a University degree in Accounting or equivalent certification from a business Technical School,
2. Experience as an Accountant or understanding of key aspects of accounting,
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs especially Excel spreadsheets, or comparable software and basic accounting software i.e Quickbooks,
4. USAID experience desired.
