POST TITLE:   General Manager, HR Business Partnering & Services
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
JOB LOCATION: Lagos
JOB DESCRIPTION: 
HR STRATEGY:
  • Oversee the development and implementation of  HR Business Partnership strategy,
  • Develop strategies and programs to promote the MTN Employee Value Proposition (MTN EVP),
  • Provide direction for developing and linking HR strategy to line management strategy,
  • Provide leadership for HR Business Partnering, Attraction and Recruitment and Employee Services functions,
  • Provide support and representation for the HRE as required for matters especially related to the Business Partnering and Employee Services functions,
  • Ensure superior collaboration and cooperation across the three-boxes Business Partnering & Services and Centre of Excellence,
  • Ensure effective and efficient Headcount (Workforce planning and forecasting) optimisation, labour value add and return on investment labour,
  • Ensure value creation in line with strategic business priorities/objectives,
  • Improve efficiency and effectiveness of delegation of authority within the Division and succession planning,
  • Ensure execution excellence.
BUSINESS PARTNERING
  • Ensure standardization in the approach and delivery of HR solutions across the business,
  • Ensure alignment of HR policies with business needs to improve business performance,
  • Champion the identification, development and deployment of talent in the line,
  • Oversee HR Business Partnering to adeptly advice and counsel managers on human capital, talent management, performance concerns and conflict resolution.
ATTRACTION & RECRUITMENT:
  • Develop recruitment and retention strategies to achieve required staffing levels,
  • Develop new strategies and programs to attract the best candidates and develop the MTN Brand,
  • Ensure the business is optimally staffed,
  • Manage the resourcing of executives with the best culture fit for the company,
  • Develop and manage partnerships with educational establishments within and outside the country that produce talents  whose capabilities aligns with MTNN business strategy,
EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT:
  • Develop strategies to manage and track culture and employee engagement activities in the line,
  • Develop strategies to ensure the implementation of GCA action plans in the line,
  • Ensure MANCOM road shows hold in all regions and participate in all engagements.
INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS:
  • Ensure strategies are in place for proper management of staff disciplinary process across the business,
  • Oversee the implementation of staff disciplinary process,
  • Ensure business synchronization across all divisions through active engagement in the line (village meetings, Corporate Council etc),
  • Ensure the resolution of all staff welfare issues within agreed timelines.
HR SERVICE DELIVERY/EMPLOYEE SERVICES:
  • Ensure high quality HR services are provided consistently, timely, effectively and efficiently to client group, meeting and exceeding agreed service levels,
  • Oversee the coordination of all employee surveys,
  • Oversee and take ownership for the end-to-end process of all staff service delivery,
  • Oversee employee services operating strategy and implementation,
  • Ensure the delivery of best practice  and world class HR Services delivery,
  • Oversee service improvement strategies and coordinate implementation,
  • Oversee  and ensure the provision of excellent and best practice expatriate and immigration services to Expats and Nationals across the business,
  • Develop strategies and programs for a robust medical and wellness programs for employees,
  • Ensure efficient and excellent delivery of medical services to employees.
MEDICAL SERVICES:
  • Efficiently plan and oversee the management of the MTNN annual medical budget in line the strategic goals and objectives of the business,
  • Develop and implement the MTNN health management strategy to consistently support MTNN’s Employee Value Proposition and embed the company’s reputation as an employer of  choice,
  • Oversee the development and implementation of  strategic health initiatives as a way  to induce behavior change in staff on prevailing health related matters towards sustaining and improving employee productivity and overall business growth and profitability.
POLICY DEVELOPMENT & INTERPRETATION:
  • Ensure articulation of best practice HR policies and procedures to govern the efficient operation of the Department,
  • Provide mechanism for timely interpretation of all staff policies,
  • Provide advice and counsel to senior management on HR practices, policy and employment laws.
JOB CONDITIONS:
  • Normal MTNN working conditions Regional and International travel Field work: < 40% of total work hours.
REPORTING TO: Human Resources Executive
JOB REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • First Degree in Social Science,
  • Post graduate degree in a related field or an MBA,
  • 15 years work experience, with up to 8years HR Generalist experience spanning across three or more of the following areas:
  • Business Partnering,
  • Attraction & Recruitment,
  • HR Operations/ Employee Services,
  • HR Information System Management,
  • Process Improvement,
  • HR Strategy.
5 years HR senior management experience
Broad HR Generalist Experience
Good Knowledge of service quality management

POST TITLE:   Banking Services Advisor
DEPARTMENT: Finance
JOB LOCATION: Lagos
JOB DESCRIPTION: 
  • Monitor bank tariffs and price book for bank charges,
  • Collate and analyse data on cash movements, bank charges, interest rates, exchange rate movements, placements,
  • Monitor sweeps from the various sub accounts to main accounts for compliance,
  • Set up and manage MTN bank accounts,
  • Ensure credit interest is properly computed and applied as agreed by the various banks every month,
  • Ensure that escalated compliance issues and complaints relating to the Banking services are followed up,
  • Monitor and report on the quality of banking services by banks,
  • Review banking service level agreements(SLA) in line with changes in the banking environment,
  • Obtain and cascade feedback/recommendation from banks on service issues and standards,
  • Conduct first level review and recommendation of bank proposals before further review by Treasury Manager,
  • Query and verify all General Ledger balances relating to bank accounts,
  • Liaise with MTNN banks on immediate service issues,
  • Advise on banking products strictly with relevance to MTNN business,
  • Identify banking service gaps across business units that interface with banks,
  • Maintain Treasury records and audit trail in strict compliance to MTNN policies and procedures,
  • Implement Treasury policies, processes, and procedures,
  • Provide banking reports for year-end audit as relates to Treasury,
  • Provide support to management staff within the department as required,
  • Coordinate monthly reconciliation meeting.

  • At least 2 years experience in a financial environment in treasury, banking,
  • Familiarity with good accounting practices and the Nigerian policy environment,

JOB DESCRIPTION: 
MANAGE AND DEVELOP CHANNEL DISTRIBUTION RELATIONSHIP:
  • Increase Loyalty – Build Relationship and Support Trade partners and Sub dealers,
  • Build relationship between lower and upper levels (i.e. between Authorize distributors and sub dealers)
  • Improve communication (To and Fro trade) – Call cycle time per territory(8-10 visit a day or as business requires),
  • Link subs, retailers etc to Trade Partners and help nurture the relationship.
INCREASE SALES/ACTIVATIONS AND PRODUCT PENETRATION:
  • Identify, classify and support all players in channels of distribution – Database building. Weekly / monthly update,
  • Ensure MTN product availability in channel is >95% at all times – Weekly product availability report of all visited outlets during call cycles,
  • Ensure information from Distributor Account Executive on Trade Partners product distribution is confirmed and relevant Sub Dealers followed up – Weekly / monthly report,
  • Resolve all issues/queries with regards to activations, products and promotions,
  • Direct all channel participants to MTN identified growth area within your territory.
MANAGE BRAND VISIBILITY WITHIN TERRITORY:
  • Establish consistent channel standards – Branding as per channel recommendation,
  • Increase brand awareness – Signage, POS distribution, visibility,
  • Target 65% visibility in the channel of distribution (Trade marketing team will measure),
  • Target 65% space within each outlet (Trade marketing team will measure),
  • Support all identified outlets with 100% merchandizing as appropriate and defined,
  • 100% POS Distribution to all channels of distribution within 14 days of release,
  • 100% replacement of expired, damaged or obsolete materials within territory,
  • 100% removal of obsolete materials and messages.
IMPROVE STOCK MANAGEMENT IN CHANNEL:
  • Manage stock in channel and reports,
  • Direct outlets with stock challenges to identified Trade Partners to ensure there is no stock out within your territories,
  • Must obtain list of sim distribution by Trade Partners from Distributor Account Executives – Ongoing, Report weekly,
  • All such sub dealers and dealer branches must be contacted and stock receipt / movement verified / confirmed – Report weekly,
  • Obtain info on stocking from All visited outlets in territory (where from, when, price, where to & why still pending >30days) – Record and report weekly / monthly,
  • Advice Regional Sales Manager if there is need for focussed activity in territory to help move stock – As appropriate,
  • Ensure areas in your territory without adequate TP or sub dealer presence is filled by encouraging TP or sub dealers to move into area. To be driven by Regional Sales Manager.
TRAINING SUPPORT/ INCREASE PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE:
  • On the spot training/coaching of all visited outlets in territory- 100% of all visited outlets in call cycle
  • Informal training in shops on products, services and promotions being run by marketing ,channel or region.
PROMO/EVENT SUPPORT:
  • Generate sub-dealer specific promo spec,
  • Support/manage events and promos,
  • Post promo evaluation.
PREPARE REPORTS:
  • Counter competition - Timely feedback,
  • Initial report to Field Service Engineers on state of network in territory,
  • Provide weekly / monthly sales activity report,
  • Generate  market intelligence report.
