POST TITLE:   Dredging Projects Development and Planning Manager


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Candidates must have B.Sc/HND/BEng. in Geology/Mining Engineering with minimum of 10 years cognate experience in Oil and Gas with at least 5 years of experience working in a Project Management role at a senior level,
  • Experience in planning of dredging project and wide experience in maritime project and construction industry will be an added advantage.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Responsible for the implementation, coordination and follow up of complex and challenging dredging projects,
  • Manages dredging projects with huge budgets and responsible for the follow-up of the resources needed: people, tools, infrastructure, logistics, contractors, budget, money, etc.,
  • Monitor and report on all aspects of projects: technical, legal, contractual and commercial issue,
  • Work to ensure and guaranty, the quality, efficiency and profitability of projects. Give close attention and never lose sight of environmental and safety issues,
  • Work proactively and in close interaction with different stakeholders (clients, subcontractors, suppliers, etc),
  • Supervise a team including several project engineers and guide both own team and the subcontractors involved,
  • Develop and monitor implementation program and Project Execution Plan (PEP),
  • Formulation of logic linked Clause – Program, Look ahead /Recovery Program with Resource loading,
  • Familiar in tender stage planning, involved in logistic and methodology planning, also planning for Cost control and Budget to build,
  • Preparation of project specific planning and control procedures which include Progress Measurement Procedure, Mitigation / Contingency Plans, Cost Performance Plan (CPR). 
  • Coordinated Installation Plan (CIP), Logistic Plans, Assisting in preparation of Environment Management Plan (EMP),
  • Develop procurement matrix and material delivery as per schedule. Forecasting long lead Items,
  • Supports the project team in the preparation of periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) status reports to keep management, Consultant and Client informed on the project progress,
  • These reports include labor productivity, schedule status, financial analysis and earned value curves reports on either direct or indirect dredging activities,
  • Initiate what-if analysis on Program to identify areas of uncertainty, potential problems and report generation. Initiate / Respond to all Planning related correspondences,
  • Submission of monthly progress report and claim and finalization of progress figures and variation of works with clients and contractors,
  • Co-ordination with Project Management team on current issues of concern and potential problems resulting in any re-sequencing / re-programming as necessary to overcome them, using critical path analysis,
  • Preparation and Determination / analysis of Claim Program to substantiate claims. Liaising with relevant unit for submission of claims. Issue Notices,  Interim and detailed particulars for claims on a timely manner,
  • Preparation, review issue and analysis of Project Reports, in terms of Schedule, Progress, S-Curve, Histogram, Look Ahead Activities, Activities behind Schedule, and Areas of Concern in line with Project Control procedure,
  • Contributes to pre-planning of project,
  • Mobilize and Demobilize resources to site according to programme phase requirements and meet all environment and housekeeping duties.

POST TITLE:   Technical Dredging Manager

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Candidates must have B.Sc/HND/BEng. in Geology/Mining Engineering with minimum of 15 years cognate experience in Oil and Gas with at least 8 years of experience working in similar role at a senior level,
  • Experience in planning of dredging operations and project; detailed understanding different types of dredger systems as well as wide experience in maritime project and construction industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Interpret and implement technical hydrographic survey report,
  • Develop, update and strictly implement the dredging operations manual,
  • Plan and oversee site operations, provide direction for the dredging team and Play the role of project Manager Production/Maintenance on all dredging activities,
  • Draw up final reports (both technical and financial), advise on necessary technical improvements, help the crew in solving technical problems on board and monitor the logistics of mobilization and demobilization on site,
  • Manage the day today dredging activities of several vessels,
  • Provide daily reports to the Head of Subsidiary on milestones, work/ done, progress, budget, issues and planning,
  • Delegate specific responsibilities to Sr. dredge masters(s), analyze and submit daily activity reports
  • Assess performance and suggest efficiency improvement methods for dredging activities,
  • Ensure the Dredgers and equipment performs to optimum as per manufacturer specification and to full capacity as per operational plan/laid down procedure,
  • As a technical superintendent, prepare, supervise and guide dockings/repair jobs and provide day-to-day technical supervision for our state-of-the-art dredgers and equipment,
  • Establishing, monitoring and implementing preventative and routine maintenance procedures/records in accordance with international standard,
  • Identify risks and appropriate mitigations; escalate if necessary to management,
  • Preparation and submission of maintenance and capital budgets for assigned vessel/dredger,
  • Monitoring of assigned dredgers/equipment maintenance cost, management of all equipment records including regulatory agencies and technical date,
  • Maintaining spare parts inventory for dredgers and equipments, 
  • Diagnose and develop solutions for recurring problems, 
  • Approval and management of maintenance requisitions of assigned equipment,
  • Plan, implement monitor and ensure achievement of set production targets,
  • Ensure dredging activities are executed as per project plan,
  • Interface with the Client site representative and host community,
  • Achieve project’s product delivery according to scope, time and budget,
  • Ensure that QA/HSE requirements and procedures are observed onsite,
  • Provide leadership and guidance towards Trainees, Junior and senior dredge masters and beaver supervisors.

POST TITLE:   Quarry Engineering and Production Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and coordinate quarry production processes with a view to determining (with high degree of accuracy of measurement) material production, plan production to meet clients requests, dynamic management of production process to meet market demand and maximizing the capacity of the quarry equipment and machineries. 
  • Conduct stock checks on hourly/daily /weekly/monthly basis.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • 15+ years Mine/Quarry engineering, planning and production management experienced,
  • Previous drilling and blasting, crushing, conveying and capital projects experience,
  • Develop and conduct necessary training for employees,
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, maintenance, mineral processing and budgeting preferred
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Working knowledge of PC operations and software,
  • Ability to perform tasks that include walking, climbing equipment, working within confined spaces and occasionally lifting.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS/ ROLE:

Mining Operations:
  • Select or develop mineral location extraction, and production methods, based on factors such as safety, cost and deposit characteristics,
  • Prepare schedules, reports, and estimates of the costs involved in developing and operating mines,
  • Develop short and long term quarry development needs,
  • Select locations and plan underground or surface mining operations, specifying processes, labor usage and equipment that will result in safe, economical, and environmentally sound extraction of minerals,
  • Examine maps, deposits, drilling locations, and/or mines in order to determine the location, size, accessibility, contents, value, and potential profitability of mineral deposits,
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians, technologists, survey personnel, engineers, scientists and other mine personnel,
  • Prepare technical reports for use by mining, engineering, and management personnel,
  • Lay out, direct, and supervise mine construction operations, such as the construction of shafts and tunnels,
  • Evaluate data in order to develop new mining products, equipment, or processes,
  • Managing and regulating the quarry’s budget,
  • Maintaining up-to-date records and dealing with a range of paperwork.
Equipment/ Plant:
  • Design mining and mineral treatment equipment and machinery in collaboration with other engineering specialists,
  • Familiar with operation of draglines, front end loaders, backhoes, haul trucks, crushers. belt Conveyors, and skid steers loaders,
  • Track daily production and equipment usage while ensuring the production capacity of equipment are optimize,
  • Ensure equipment maintenance records are kept and schedule maintenance activities and production are carried out accordingly,
  • Design, develop, and implement computer applications for use in mining operations such as mine design, modeling, or mapping: or for monitoring mine conditions,
  • Production and performance monitoring/Safety liaising with sales and commercial teams to balance sales and output,
  • Work closely with Production manager and Quality Manager to achieve set targets,
  • Altering the quarry’s production system in accordance with the materials required,

POST TITLE:   Mineral Resources Mining Manager (Engineer)

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduate Degree in Geology Mining Engineering or related discipline,
  • Registered or eligible for registration with a recognized professional association,
  • 15+ years of mining experience in operations engineering and project evaluation, managerial role
  • Experience in underground mine design and development,
  • Experience in mine equipment selection, capital cost and operating cost estimates,
  • Strong track record of successfully completed projects in the mining industry,
  • Experience in an operations environment as the Mine Engineer or Superintendent Level. 
  • Familiar with mine planning software such as Minesight, AutoCAD, Mine2-4D, MineCAD or other mine development software,
  • The qualification to sign off on mineral reserves as a Qualified Engineer is desired but not required.
JOB DESCRIPTION/ ROLE:
  • The position holder will be an integral member of the operations team that will oversee the development and completion of the project feasibility studies for the mining of different solid minerals,
  • The successful candidate will initially be responsible for engineering design and mine planning, and will assume a more operational role as the Project transitions to construction and development.
  • In this role, the Mineral Resources Mining Manager will interact, monitor and provide oversight to various contractors and outside vendors as appropriate,
  • The role is part, of the Business Planning team for the group and provides long-range mining engineering support to the mining subsidiary of the group,
  • The role holder performs tasks with supervision, set deadlines, responsibilities, and develops plans for the extraction of mineral resources in different areas of the operation,
  • The role holder ensures health and safety standards are met, legislated requirements are satisfied, and cash flow enhancing strategies are provided,
  • To provide business planning support to the operations and ensure all work is done in accordance to company procedures and standards and meets legislated requirements,

POST TITLE:   Hydrographic Surveyor

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 8 years of practical field experience in similar role at the field front,
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining/Geotechnical or Hydrogeological Engineering are required for this position,
  • Significant prior work experience in mine water management planning, sand search activities, underwater surveying and operations,
  • Experienced managing large projects, leading and managing staff and display strong interpersonal skills,
  • Able to identify and make appropriate recommendation of equipment and tools required for reliable sand search activities.
JOB DESCRIPTION/ ROLE:
  • Carryout technical exploration of water bodies with a view to locating and identifying areas with sand deposits in commercial quantity, to be exploited by dredging for reclamation of marshy terrain or stockpiling,
  • Advice on positioning of dredger during operation,
  • Produce sand search survey report that provides information as to the quantity of sand available for exploitation based on mathematical formulas not guess work,
  • Develop and determine coordinated bathymetric map of the project area (not a sketch), depicts depths for smooth navigation of the dredger to the sand pit and as a base for determining changes in the sub-bottom topography after dredging,
  • Make appropriate recommendations on suitability and viability of proposed dredging site considering the design and physical nature of the terrain among other factors,
  • Specifically, accountable for preparing accurate and reliable sand search  report from/around data collection of sand deposit database, groundwater modeling analysis, and surface water measurement and controls,
  • Lead the technical survey team in dredging operations -sand mining and client project based,
  • Carryout underwater survey operations such as positioning dynamics. Development of positioning and technical documentation for field development projects/ operations,
  • Carryout reading, measuring and staking grade, topo surveys, and observe all dredging activities Collect and analyze soil sample and carryout soil type evaluation.

POST TITLE:   Business Development Manager- Engineering

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Engineering qualification preferably with a Masters Degree in Business Administration,
  • 8 -12 years experience in Business Development function Experience in Oil, Gas, Energy and Marine sectors, international experience. dealt with global clients, minimum 5 years experience in Nigerian Market,
  • Exceptional customer awareness and sales skills in the business development and marketing aspects in the oil and gas industry with ability to market EPC or Fabrication and construction services to the various oil companies,
  • Fully conversant in modern computer aided planning technologies and Operations Management processes,
  • Techno commercial skills to be able to deal with contractual and financial conditions in bids,

JOB DESCRIPTION/ ROLE:
  • Developing and pursing new opportunities for the purpose of promoting and marketing the Oil and Gas EPC business of Japaul Engineering to the various Oil and Gas majors in the Nigerian markets,
  • Maximize contact with key accounts, key contacts and other critical people at various client organizations and focus efforts to obtain new work and generation of new enquiries for the business,
  • Work in synergy with a support team of country and proposal to proactively sell the Company in the Upstream Market, including feasibility studies, FEEDs, DEED, and EPCs,

  • Ability to co-ordinate a group of multi-disciplined people in order to deliver a proposal on time and at the level of quality required,

JOB DESCRIPTION/ ROLE:
  • Develop, maintain and ensure application of the Group Tendering Procedure on all tenders,
  • Manage process of establishing tenders and proposals,
  • Responsible for the overall coordination of the tender including preparation of accurate and economic costing and assessment of risk and competition,

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Very good knowledge and understanding of the Dredging industry in Nigeria and West Africa landscape and the basic guiding statutory laws will be an added advantage,

  • Very good knowledge and understanding of the Maritime industry in Nigeria and West Africa Landscape and the basic guiding statutory laws will be an added advantage,
  • Possess experience in chartering operations and management with good knowledge in shipping documents and custom procedures,
