POST TITLE:   Training Specialist (Brewing)

JOB SUMMARY:
  • The Training Specialist (Brewing) who will report to the Brewing Manager will create and sustain a progressive learning environment by providing effective service to the value chain, focused on competence acquisition and performance.
JOB SPECIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Training Specialist (Brewing) will among other duties:
  • Co-ordinate learning, coaching and development activities for the brewing department,
  • Co-ordinate training assessments on brewing teams,
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOP’s),
  • Carry out competence assessments,
  • Deliver shop floor and supervisory training,
  • Plan and initiate development and learning processes,
  • Evaluate the efficiency of training,
  • Develop and acquire resources and solutions within area of specialization,
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
 
The applicant should possess the following:
  • Minimum of B.SC/HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Brewing Diploma/Certificate,
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience preferably as a Team Leader/Supervisor in a fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment,
  • Relevant Technical Certificate.

POST TITLE:   Human Resource Officer

JOB SUMMARY:
  • The Human Resource Officer will partner with the HR team to coordinate, plan, motivate, organize, control and implement all people-based policies and strategies to achieve the business strategy.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Human Resource Officer will among other duties:
  • Implement talent management processes and procedures,
  • Implement HR strategies,
  • Implement Performance Management culture,
  • Implement IR policies and strategies to promote peaceful industrial climate,
  • Manage employee’s health and welfare issues,
  • Implement training and development, follow-up ITF approvals and reimbursements, etc,
  • Execute employee’s wellness programmes,
  • Provide professional counselling services to his/her internal and external customers,
  • Create databases that would standardize HR processes and procedures,
  • Implement employee’s compensation and benefits,
  • Manage HR systems and Biometrics,
  • Ensure effective service delivery and drug availability in the factory clinic,
  • Prepare people balance sheet (PBS) and/or HR reports,
  • Implement payroll administration,
  • Draft HR budget and stratplans and,
  • Implement people programmes approved by management from time to time.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
 
The applicant should possess the following:
  • Minimum of B.SC in Human Resource Management or Industrial Relations Labour Relations or Industrial Relations Personnel Management,
  • Minimum of five (5) years hands-on experience, preferably in the Food and Beverage industry or FMCG,
  • Membership of CIPMN is compulsory.

POST TITLE:   Training Specialist (Packaging)

JOB SUMMARY:
  • The Training Specialist (Packaging) who will report to the Packaging Manager will create and sustain a progressive learning environment by providing effective service to the value chain, focused on competence acquisition and performance.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Training specialist (Packaging) will among other duties:
  • Co-ordinate learning, coaching and development activities for the packaging department,
  • Co-ordinate training assessments on packaging teams,
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOP’s),
  • Carry out competence assessments,
  • Deliver shop floor and supervisory training,
  • Plan and initiate development and learning processes,
  • Evaluate the efficiency of training,
  • Develop and acquire resources and solutions within area of specialisation.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
 
The applicant should possess the following:
  • Minimum of B.SC/HND in any Engineering discipline,
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience preferably as a Team Leader, Supervisor or Process Artisan in a fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment,
  • Relevant Technical Certificate.

POST TITLE:   Manufacturing Development Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:
  • The Manufacturing Development Specialist will coordinate all SABMiller world Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities and influence the implementation of the WCM Work Practices,
  • The individual will be responsible for identifying, co-operating with and actively participating in strategic and systemic level department improvement initiatives to achieve the business strategy.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Manufacturing Development Specialist will among other duties:
  • Co-ordinate learning and development activities for technical production in line with best practice,
  • Train and coach technical staff where the need arises,
  • Implement manufacturing work practices and principles,
  • Provide leadership for on-going manufacturing development strategies,
  • Promote knowledge management processes,
  • Apply Value Chain and Improvement Tools,
  • Facilitate and co-ordinate the technical selection process,
  • Provide Industrial engineering support.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
 
The applicant should possess the following:
  • Minimum of B.SC in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering,
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience preferably in implementing World Class Manufacturing, initiatives and work practices in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods environment,
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage,
  • Key competencies and attributes,
  • Knowledge of performance management, human resource development (HRD), competence assessment, practices and training evaluation,
  • Deep technical knowledge,
  • Deep experience in a brewing or process control environment,
  • Proven training, coaching and facilitation skills,
  • Attention to details (methodical record keeping),
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
