We are World Class Manufacturing Company with a modern automated Fabrication and Galvanising Steel Plant in Nigeria. We currently require the services of experienced and articulate candidates to fill the positions below


REQUIRED SILLS & COMPETENCY:

1. Bachelor’s degree in or equivalent
 
2. Minimum of 8-10 years experience in a steel or related company,
 
3. Proactive in problem solving.
 
4. Communicates dearly and effectively,
 
5. Excellent Planning and Analytical Skill
 
6. MS Word and Excel Skills,

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain proper interface with Overseas /Local Suppliers. Clearing Agents. Shipping Lines, Customs and Excise Department in order to facilitate quick delivery of Materials to the factory.
 
2. Ensure efficient and effective processing and record documentation,
 
3. Ensure all imported materials have goods-in-transit insurance (GTI) coverage from source to factory
 
4. Evaluate and analyze current transportation operations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiative
 
5. Continuously review distribution methods, service provider & operational costs to ensure materials are transported at the most effective cost while maintaining efficient customer service.
 
6. Coordinate logistics in optimizing transportation and warehousing services for finished goods within all Nigerian business segments.
 
7. Keep pace with industry trends and regulations in order to provide guidance to other personnel, when required.
 
8. Track and follow shipment of goods until final destination.
 
9. Ensure revenue and labour controls are adhered to for effective maximum profitability and efficiency.
 
10. Maintain Customer focus and expectations.
 
11. Understand and support full implementation of continuous improvement processes.
 
12. Be involved in the specification, testing, implementation, trial and commissioning of company systems, such as SAP ERP, for efficient and effective execution of Imports and Logistics activities.
 
13. Ensure employees adhere to and understand safety procedures and guidelines.
Update and submit daily accurate and current import status report to Management


REQUIRED SILLS & COMPETENCY:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
 
2. Eight to Ten years (8-10) experience as a in the steel industry.
 
3. Experience in international Quality standard will be an added advantage.
 
4. Well developed communication and presentation skills.
 
5. Strong ability to manage, coach and develop a diverse team of individuals performing a variety of tasks.
 
6. Ability to think ahead, anticipated problems, make decisions and take appropriate action.
 
7. Good problem solving skills.
 
8. High attention to detail and quality.
 
9. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
 
10. Ability to build a reliable maintenance system and team.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Participate in objective setting, plan development and performance review of plant performance.
 
2. Tracks, analyses and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset (utilization, maintenance cost, schedule compliance, etc
 
3. Maintains and updates operating and training maintenance department.
 
4. Establishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts and maintenance history of plant equipment.
 
5. Prepare reports, analyzes data and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems,
 
6. Reviews the operate of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipated and solve problems in a timely manner and to identify opportunities for improvement,
 
7. Prepares daily summary of all maintenance activities
Ensure and provide adequate safety measures during maintenance work in the factory.
