THE CLIENT:

Our client a new vocational academy in Lagos, Nigeria (first academic session starting soon, with academic support from the World’s foremost and prestigious hospitality academy in Switzerland) will be established as a best-in-class vocational school for the Hospitality industry with five principal areas of study:- Professional Cookery, Restaurant and Bar service, Front Office and Housekeeping operations and Spa and wellness. The Academy will encompass fully equipped classrooms and library, a pastry and a production kitchen, a training restaurant, a professional laundry as well as state of the art practical training facilities that include themed restaurants, bars, and a spa and wellness area.

POST TITLE:   Senior Facility – Front Office (Ref Code: SFFO/IDOVA/FC/0015)
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Facility – Front Office is directly responsible for the Front Office vocational programs, all operations related to Front Office services at the Academy, as well as all the practical outlets He/she will directly supervise Front Office professors and instructors, guarantee course content relevance and its application in the operations of the Academy.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
  • Co-ordination of the Front Office programs’ quality and content,
  • Maintenance of relevant Front Office training infrastructure,
  • Resource planning, acquisition and control,
  • Co-ordination with senior faculty members for learning efficiency optimization,
  • Building and maintenance of relationships with industry key stakeholders in the Front
  • Office area to ensure relevance and visibility of the Academy.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCED:
  • A diploma or other professional qualification in Front Office/Hospitality
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in the hospitality industry with globally recognized brands
  • A minimum of 3 years Front Office /Rooms Division Manager experience, or 3 years Front Office training experience in a reputable academy
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong presentations skills.
TERMS OFFERED:
  • Reporting to Dean of Academy,
  • Compensation range – attractive and negotiable,
  • One year probation,
  • Open ended contract thereafter.

POST TITLE:   Academy Instructors – Food and Beverage, Housekeeping and Front Office 

REFERENCE CODE: FC/IDOVA/FC/0016)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The instructors will be directly responsible for one’s operations facility, as well as skills and knowledge transfer to the students active in the respective facility,
  • They will guarantee relevance of skills and knowledge transferred as well as the professional operations of the Academy.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
  • Supervision of Academy operations facilities in an economic and qualitative manner
  • Delivering trade specific practical and theory classes,
  • Defining evaluation approach per course and conducting students individual and team evaluations
  • Coaching students before, during and after training,
  • Procurement and quality control of goods and equipment according to set budget supervision of the internship process in collaboration with Senior Faculty and the S.I.R,
  • Participating in LHC Qualified Learning Facilitators (QLF) programs to become -Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne Trainer.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCED:
  • A diploma or other professional qualification in specific trade,
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in the hotel operations with globally recognized brands,
  • Hospitality teaching experience will be an added advantage,
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong presentations skills.
TERMS OFFERED:
  • Reporting to Senior Faculty member,
  • Competitive compensation range – to be negotiated,
  • One year probation,
  • Open ended contract thereafter.
