POST TITLE:   Sales Manager

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline,
  • Relevant post-graduate/ professional qualification will be an added advantage,
  • Six (6) years relevant experience in sales or business development within  the oil and gas, power and telecommunication sectors,
  • Very good understanding of Fabricated and Gaivanized products and their value proposition,
  • Advanced selling and negotiation skills,
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships and priorities,
  • Strong supervisory and people management skills,

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Anchor the development of the sale strategy and programmes to achieve the company’s sales revenue targets
  • Participate in periodic sales planning and budgeting, monitor implementation and performance and develop strategies to address shortfall in targets
  • Allocate sales accounts and target to Sales Officers and monitor implement and performance and implement incentive schemes to achieve sales targets.
  • Generate and follow up on sales leads
  • Negotiable variations in price, delivery and product specifications with customers
  • Ensure ongoing collaboration with Marketing and Operations functions to determine effective pricing of products and services
  • Set evaluation parameters to measure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, customer needs and competitor initiatives and devise strategies to optimally utilize market opportunities

POST TITLE:   Design Engineer


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field,
  • Four to Six (4 -6) years experience in engineering design and drafting, preferably in the Steel industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawing and computer aided drafting and drawing (CADD).
  • Good knowledge of regulatory standards and codes for relevant sectors (telecom, power, oil and gas, construction etc.)
  • Awareness of general engineering and production safety requirements
  • Ability to generate blueprint drawings related to production layouts and plans
  • Advanced knowledge of Auto CAD
  • Well developed communication and presentation skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design new product based on client requirement
  • Determine key parameters for what the product should achieve i.e. heat/pressure resistance, flexibility load bearing capacity etc.
  • Obtain design from parts library
  • Determine stress resistance and load bearing factors
  • Determine location of key joints and pivot points on steel products.
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) to design models that can be put through stimulated conditions
  • Analyze result of tests (if any)
  • Re-evaluate design parameter and redesign prototype if need be and carry out other duties assigned.
POST TITLE:   Senior Draughtsman

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering field,
  • Three to Five (5 – 7) years experience in engineering design and drafting, preferably in the Steel industry,
  • Advanced knowledge of design and drafting techniques engineering drawing and computer-aided drafting and drawing (CAOD),
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, including machining, fabricating and assembly processes, planning basic geometric dimensioning and tolerance and metallurgy’s in a manufacturing engineering company,
  • Have HSE awareness and able to demonstrate and communicate at all levels and show leadership skills,
  • Good knowledge of regulatory standards and codes for relevant sectors (telecom, power, oil and gas, construction etc),
  • Awareness of general engineering and production safety requirements,
  • Sound Knowledge of 2 and 3D concepts and use of 2 and 3D Cad Systems,
  • Ability to generate blueprint drawings related to production layouts and plans,
  • Advanced knowledge of Auto CAD.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise all fabrication drawings that include General arrangement assembly and piece part drawings,
  • Incorporate client specifications/ basic engineering detail,
  • Prepare drawings, reflecting any changes to original specification,
  • Prepare drawing, material list and schedules,
  • Accurate interception of design requirements,
  • Decide application to use for drawing – 2D or 3D modeling,
  • Create drawings (shop drawing and erection drawing) using CAD,
  • Create and debug CNC programs on a basic level using existing CAM system,

POST TITLE:   Treasurer

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • A first degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a business related discipline from a from a reputable university,
  • Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, CFA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA etc.),
  • Minimum of five (5) years treasury experience,
  • Knowledge of local and international accounting standards,
  • Good understanding of long and short term cash forecast models,

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the company’s daily cash flows/ liquidity and ensure availability of funds to meet the company’s operations and all likely contingencies,
  • Prepare periodic cash forecast and cash flow analysis,
  • Periodically reconcile the company’s cashbook to bank statement and ensure accurate reporting of cash position,
  • Ensure proactive and accurate reporting of the company’s liquidity position,
  • Assist in the development of strategies to ensure optimal management if the company’s liquidity position and its attendant risks,
  • Process cash receipts and disbursements,
  • Administer petty cash/ float system in line with established policies,
  • Manage the company’s excess cash and ensure cash is channeled into appropriate investment instruments,
  • Analyze and report on investment portfolio strategy, yields and investment instruments,
  • Manage the company’s interest rate and foreign exchange risks,
  • Liaise with banks to determine the company’s loans and borrowings portfolio analyze and report on existing loan facilities and institutions and government agencies,

POST TITLE:   Shift Supervisor

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Candidates should have B.Sc/HND Mechanical Engineering,
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience in industrial production environment, preferably in Steel industry,
  • knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery,
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers,
  • Excellent supervisory and coaching skills,
  • Good interpersonal skills,

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise production tine operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures,
  • Train and coach production line employees,
  • Conduct employee performance- reviews,
  • Responsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations,
  • Coordinate production start-ups shutdowns , and changeovers,
  • Coordinate with Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels,
  • Schedule and conduct shift meetings,
  • Responsible for shift, production goals,
  • Responsible for quality control and make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications,

POST TITLE:   Mobile Crane Operators

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • WASC or OND Mechanical Engineering or City and Guilds Mechanical Certificate,
  • 3-5 years experience as an overhead crane operator in the steel industry,
  • Ability to operate heavy mobile cranes,
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to move heavy objects.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To drive and operate Mobile cranes,
  • To check the condition of Mobile cranes every day and report the outcome to the shift supervisor,
  • To adhere strictly to the company safety policy and work Instructions standard,
  • To keep detailed report of crane conditions after use and during maintenance/repairs,
  • To check the jigs before changing position in the tanks and after pre treatment,
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the crane.
POST TITLE:   Quality Assurance Officer

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • B.Sc/HND Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2-4years experience as a Quality Assurance Officer in the fabrication unit of a steel Company.
  • MS Word and Excel Skills.
  • Experience in international Quality standard will be an added advantage.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare Quality assurance plan for the production process of a fabrication plant,
  • Lead the Quality assurance team in the preparation of daily work plan and training of employees,
  • Prepare Regular update and adjustment of QA plan according to changes that occur from time to time
  • Collate Quality assurance data of products in the plant,
  • To adhere strictly to company’s safety policy and work instructions standard.
POST TITLE:   Procurement Officer

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Candidates should have B.Sc Purchasing Supply or Business Administration,
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a purchasing officer in a Manufacturing concern,
  • MS Word and Excel Skills,

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Procuring of materials, for all the company functions,
  • Contribute in ensuring right qualities to the end users,
  • Participate in selection of suitable suppliers of materials,
  • Active participation in the areas of preparation and issuance of enquires, administration of bid, tender or quotation, negotiation, expediting and delivery of purchases,
  • Participate in the monthly stock count of materials,
  • Evaluate purchasing needs of the factory and coordinate with the Plant managers,

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Co-ordinate the budge- preparation, monitoring and control process, in line with agreed policies and procedures,
  • Develop, review and circulate annual budget guidelines/ assumptions to all departments,
  • Compile all inputs into the budget from the business units and departments and prepare detailed budget for management review and approval,
  • Develop and maintain a budget/ commitment tracking system for the company,
  • Analyze budget performance, identify and obtain explanations of significant variances,
  • Make relevant contribution to the company’s cash forecasting and long range financial planning,
  • Develop/ update the management information repot framework and templates, including defining the model for data and information gathering,

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • First degree or its equivalent in a business related or engineering discipline,
  • Relevant postgraduate/ professional qualification in supply chain or logistics management or any other related field,
  • Six to eight (6-8) years relevant experience of which at least three (3) must have been in a management/supervisory capacity within procurement or logistics,
  • Sound knowledge of the steel industry,
  • Good understanding of leading practices, principles and techniques in logistics and procurement,
  • Advanced knowledge understanding of supply chain management principles,

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Liaise with the Chief Operating Officer in the development of departmental strategy, work plans and programmes,
  • Communicate the specific and general goals of the department to subordinates and ensure activities are aligned with the overall departmental goal and objectives,
  • Prepare and implement the department’s annual budget,
  • Liaise with the Chief Operating Officer and the Company’s legal adviser in the drafting and/review of supplier contracts,

  • Minimum of eight to ten (8-10) years experience in industrial production environment preferably in Steel industry at least three (3) years at managerial level,

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings related to design layout,

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate incoming raw materials e.g. Angle iron, Stainless materials for rest platform used in communication Tower.
  • Monitoring the quality of products and in- process inspection of operation to ensure conformity with international and Local standards.
  • Carry out inspection of fabrication designs, operations and finished products
  • Coordinate quality audit on products that fall under service condition and handling customers non- conformance report,
  • Monitoring of process and operation parameters of CNC machines to make sure that the set standard are followed and find out when the process, raw material or the machines is the cause of deviation from the set standard.
  • Determine the quality of weldments of assembled parts and fabricated products
  • Carry out report writing, interpolation of results and documentation of records

POST TITLE:   Forklift Operator

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Candidates should have WASC or OND Mechanical Engineering or City and Guilds Mechanical Certificate
  • 3-5 years experience as a forklift operator in the steel industry.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read labels and numbers
  • Ability to operate in high speed and fast-paced environment
  • Good physical health.
  • Able to follow instructions as directed by the supervisor.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Moving controls, devices, and levers to drive forklifts to transfer materials between unloading, processing, loading, and storage areas.
  • Organizing and securing stored materials
  • Loading or unloading materials manually, platforms, skids, or litting devises
  • Performing routine post and pre inspections to ensure suitable working nature for the forklift.
  • Reposing to supervisor regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or any other safety hazards.
  • Weighing products or materials, and recording weight and further production information on labels and tags.
  • Consulting working, and coordinating with supervisors, managers, and employees regarding unloading and loading operations.

  • 4-7 years experience as a Quality Assurance Officer in the fabrication unit of a sleet Company.
  • MS Word and Excel Skills.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Process bills/ invoices presented for payment by suppliers, vendors and other service providers.
  • Process staff loans and personal advances.
  • Generate periodic reporting of outstanding/ un-retired advance balances and circulate to all Heads of Departments/Line Managers and relevant staff
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of all invoices issued to clients.
  • Prepare periodic customer account balance ageing report and follow up with Sales Manager to collect outstanding payments.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register of the company – ensure regular update of the Fixed Asset Register with asset additions, transfer and disposal.
  • Periodically reconcile and coordinate physical stock taking of fixed assets to ensure existence of all fixed assets.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statement and follow up to ensure proper resolution of any issues.
  • Carry out periodic reconciliation of all accounts in the general ledger and subsidiary ledger and ensure that general ledger accounts are reconciled and properly stated at all times.
  • Coordinate/supervise all general ledger activities, including period  opening and  closing voucher postings and maintenance of the general ledger.
  • Champion the preparation of periodic financial statements
  • Participate in the articulation of the department’s work programs and plans

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Production Engineering or Metallurgical and Material Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience in industrial production environment preferably in Steel industry
  • Awareness of general safety requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings related to design layouts.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks.

POST TITLE:   Maintenance Officer

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Candidates should have B.Sc/HND Mechanical Engineering
  • 8-10 years experience as a Maintenance officer in the steel industry.
  • Experience in international Quality standard will be an added advantage.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Carry out routine maintenance of plant equipment and training of employees
  • Prepare Maintenance plan for plan equipment like crane, CnC machine, forklift, Generator, welding machine etc.
  • Prepare Regular update and adjustment of maintenance plan to reflect changes purchase
  • Collate Maintenance in the plant
  • To adhere strictly to the company safety policy and work instructions standard.
POST TITLE:   Machine Operators

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Candidates should have OND Mechanical Engineering or City and Guilds Mechanical Certificate
  • 3-5 years experience as CNC Machine Operator in the steel industry,
  • Well developed communication and presentation skills,
  • Good problem solving skills,
  • Computer literate.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate Computerized machine Punching, shearing drilling etc.
  • Read and interpret work instructions to determine sequence of operations and requirements
  • Observe machines in operation and make adjustment to control the rate of production
  • Monitor machinery for any problems during production
  • Consult maintenance department on any correction/problem that may arise during production
  • Carry out daily maintenance of the machines.
POST TITLE:     Shipping and Receiving Officer

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Three to five (3 – 5) years experience in engineering, preferably in the Steel industry.
  • Awareness of shipping safety requirements.
  • Will developed communication and presentation skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • High attention to detail and quality.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Determines space requirements and position of shipment in containers and trucks and lays out position of shipment.
  • Determines routing and legal load limits of trucks, according in established schedules arid weight limits of states.
  • Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications and seals loaded containers and truck doors.
  • Inspects material handling equipment for detects and notifies maintenance personnel for repair.
  • Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
  • Compiles records of unfilled orders.
  • Posts weight and shipping charges.
  • Prepares bills of lading.
  • Assists associates in shipping and receiving activities.
